yesterday ruth and alex qualified for the national championship!! Both of our teams qualified to compete in the MLF college face off. Taking home 1st place for the face off!! proud of these teams for their dedication, hardwork, and resilience. much deserved, go radford!

this year has been a whirlwind of positive moves for the Radford Fishing team. This week, two of our teams made the list of top 25 anglers in virginia. We hope to give more anglers the opportunity from this program to reach goals like these. proud of y’all!

Yesterday, the radford fishing club set up the opportunity to go to blue spring trout farm for a fishing retreat. Between 9 members that went they were able to catch 70 fish total. Special thanks to George Nolef with WFXR News coming out and filming, there will be a segment from this trip airing within the next couple weeks. So grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to do it again!

this past week 2 of our teams put in the extra work to compete in the Abu garcia college tournament on the detroit river. After finishing 11th and 15th it scored them the opportunity to compete the following day in the Wiley X college faceoff. Only 10 teams out of 60 qualified to compete! We are so proud of our teams and can’t wait to see what the future tournaments hold. Congrats y’all!

this past friday our teams competed at the first northern division tournament on smith mountain lake! We had three teams compete, Jackson and brandon finishing second, Kent and Adam finishing 17th, and Ruth and Alex were unfortunately unable to weigh in due to boating issues. Overall great finishes and a great start to the 2021 season. Proud of each team’s efforts and excited for support one another throughout this season!

Still celebrating our teams that placed in the chesapeake bay tournament yesterday. jarred and chris took home 4th, qualifying them for nationals!! Nick and jackson tied for 5th. Radford fishing as a whole finished 2nd in the northern conference this year. Something to be very proud of. Congratulations to our teams and a big thank you to our supporters. Grand lake Oklahoma 2021 national championship, here we come!
