Specializing in horse retirement and a Special Event Venue we are surrounded by the 11,000 acre Spenceville Wildlife Refuge. We are former horse professionals and offer retirement services for show horses. We have excellent references and the horses are well cared for on our 400 acre ranch in Northern California. We are at the beginning of a many year restoration project on the historic Arbalette

ranch. Originally part of the Gutierrez land grand (later Rancho Johnson) it is part of gold rush history for Timbucktoo, Smartsville, GrassValley and Nevada City. The old stage line runs right through the ranch and this old road follows the route most likely taken by the first group of donner party refugees that stumbled out to Johnson Ranch in Wheatland. Plans call for horse camping, an event center, B&B and restoration of the 7 towers and 3 acres of gardens inside the castle walls. We may even plant a grape or two.

Give your horse the gift of Grass Retirement....Be sure to plan your show horse retirement schedule with us.... this pic was taken last spring but we have green now and 9 months of green grass on our 400 acre ranch... lots of pasture and shelter choices. We only take 25 and have room for a couple reservations....

We offer Show Horse Retirement on our 400 acre Northern California ranch by former equest. professionals. Horses are checked daily, receive a daily LMF lunch and hay as needed. We are at 600 feet, above the valley fog and below the snow.. We only take 25 and a trainer reference is required.

We are at 600 feet, above the valley fog and below the snow.. We only take 25 and a trainer reference is required.
