The Cooper's Lake Championship is a backyard golf tournament held at Cooper's Lake Campground every year. The event has been contested since 2011 on a variety of courses designed by Jeff Tracy, the tournament's founder and director. These courses are generally shorter and tamer than the courses that host the Cooper's Lake Open, and are set up with short rough, allowing for low scores. Golfers use

four clubs and almostGOLF balls on the most realistic backyard golf courses around. The event is open to all ages and skill levels, and there are prizes for the different divisions, but only players competing in the top division are eligible to win the Campers' Cup. October 15th will bring a new era to golf at Cooper's Lake! Introducing the Cider Cup, a team matchplay event consisting of 9 holes of alternate shot, 9 holes of fourball, and 9 holes of singles matches. The event will start at 9 AM with the team matches, followed by a lunch, and then the singles matches. Captains Metcalf and Swisher will be drafting their team lineups soon! If you would like to play in the Cider Cup, please get in touch with Jeff Tracy no later than next Saturday, October 8th.

Congratulations to Jeff Tracy on winning his fourth Cooper's Lake Classic and fifteenth Cooper's Lake golf tournament overall! His 12-stroke margin of victory ties the record for the largest margin of victory in Cooper's Lake Golf history (Josh Short, 2011 Cooper's Lake Open, Jeff Tracy, 2017 Cooper's Lake Classic). Jeff will now set his eyes on next month's Cooper's Lake Open at the Battlefield (Blue) Course, in his pursuit of the almostGOLF triple crown.
