You may see her walking to or from the 6:15 a.m. class at CrossFit Develop — it’s definitely one of the perks of living close to your gym!
For the past year, Brenda has been bringing her bright smile, positive energy and hard-working attitude to CFD. We’re so glad she stepped outside her comfort zone and decided to try something new! 🧡💙
Fitness has always been a part of Brenda’s life, but CrossFit was brand new. She jumped right in, quickly became part of our community, takes feedback from her coaches and continues to make some seriously impressive progress! 🙌🏻
We’re so happy you found your way to CFD, Brenda! We love having you as part of our family!
Now, let’s get to know our 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 a little better! 👇🏼🔥
💙 Who are you outside of the gym?
🧡 I’m a mom and Nana; I love spending time with my family & friends. I’m happiest when I’m outside — anything that keeps me moving. I try to find the fun in everyday “little” things.
💙 How long have you been doing CrossFit and what brought you to CFD?
🧡 I’ve been doing CrossFit for just over a year. I moved to Slinger and was looking for something new to add to my routine, so I decided to give CFD a try. I quickly found that I really enjoyed the challenge and the people … and I can walk to the gym!
💙 What’s your proudest accomplishment so far?
🧡 My proudest accomplishment is sticking with it. I’ve never done anything quite like CrossFit before — making it through my first year and continuing to challenge myself has been rewarding.
💙 If you could permanently remove one movement from CFD, what would it be?
🧡 Without hesitation … SNATCHES! 😅
💙 What song will instantly get you moving during a workout?
🧡 Anything Metallica or 80s hairband.
💙 What’s something people at CFD would be surprised to learn about you?
🧡 I have participated in 2 Ragnar Relays with our very own Coaches/Owners, Chris & Kelly!
🧡 I’d just like to say how welcoming CFD and the coaches have been. The people, the culture, and the team atmosphere make it a place where everyone feels included and supported. I never expected to enjoy CrossFit as much as I do, and I think my biggest takeaway is that it’s never too late to try something new!
