Attention Ravin Crossbow Shooters ! Here is a prime example of when you need to stop shooting your crossbow and replace the string/cables ASAP . The cables are well outside of the timing dots. These string/cables would NOT of lasted the archery season . If these do break the entire crossbow needs to be sent back to Ravin for inspection. Usually it takes 6 weeks to get it back.

Ravin Crossbow Shooters. Take a look at your crossbow. Inspect the string and ALL 4 cables. Just because it’s worked good last year does not mean it will be fine this year. Check out the cam timing dots. They are hard to see so grab a flashlight and make sure the cables are going in between the two timing dots. If the cables are not in between the timing dots then it’s time for a new string/cables. These red arrows in the picture point to the timing dot. This crossbow needs new string and cables

Crossbow Shooter! It’s that time of the year again where I need to put out a reminder. Ravin Shooter, now is the time to take a look at your crossbow for new string/cables BEFORE it breaks. The Ravins have timing dots or dimples on the each cam. The cables should be in the center of the timing dots. If the cables are outside of the timing dots then STOP shooting and that needs to be replaced ASAP. Here are some example pictures. The cables should be in the center of timing dot. The red line indicates how a cable should look like.
