It means so much to us that Sippie Hippie is allowing us to remember and celebrate Luke in this way. Music was a big part of Luke’s life; and just like his mom, Luke had a very eclectic taste in music.

For the "Love of Luke"

A few years ago, we lost a little shining star. As this community and the Traylor family continue to try and understand why, we fully recognize that June is "Men's Mental Health Awareness Month." To keep his memory alive, his family and friends established the "Luke Traylor Memorial Scholarship," which provides financial assistance to graduating seniors from Slinger High School.

In conjunction with their yearly "Luke Traylor Baseball Classic" which raises funds for the aforementioned scholarship, this foundation also focuses on bringing mental health awareness and su***de prevention to the forefront of conversation.

This year at the Luke Traylor Baseball Classic, we are dedicating Friday’s events specifically to Mental Health and Su***de Prevention Awareness💚💜🩵
As a part of this, we are going to have a Candlelight Vigil to honor our loved ones living with mental health conditions and to remember our loved ones we’ve lost to su***de.
If you would like to take part in the Candlelight Vigil and honor or remember a person or persons in your life, please complete the Google form below. A donation of $10 is appreciated and will go toward the Luke Traylor Memorial Scholarship.

During this year's Luke Traylor Baseball Classic, we will hold a candlelight vigil around dusk on Friday, July 17th, to honor and remember those in our community who have struggled with mental health or who we have lost to su***de. Last night was the awards ceremony for the 2026 Slinger High School graduating class, and you could see by the number of scholarships given out to all the students that they are an outstanding group of humans. This class has so many young people that have already accomplished so much in their lives. And, I know each one of them will continue to do great things as they enter the next chapter.
Through the amazing generosity of our community, the Luke Traylor Memorial Scholarship was able to give out $1000 scholarships to 44 of these individuals. Each one of the recipients has shown strong leadership skills throughout their high school career. They exemplify what it means to work hard, show kindness to others, and be there for their community, all things that Luke did.
We know so many of these students personally, and I can tell you without a doubt they are some of the best human beings you’ll ever come across in your life. They truly care about seeing this world change for the better, and they are not afraid to put themselves out there to make it happen.
As they all go out and forge their own paths, my hope is they each take a small piece of Luke with them. They remember what community truly means and they always remember, you are never alone!🩵🩵🩵

Our walk on Saturday, April 18th, in memory of Luke for the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk. We usually walk in Madison, but we were unable to make it to that one this year.

April 15th is what would be Luke’s 18th birthday🩵
So, ahead of this day, we would like to share the dates for the 3rd annual Luke Traylor Baseball Classic. This year’s event will be July 17-19, 2026.
We hope that you will all be able to join us for the weekend of honoring Luke’s legacy, by learning about mental health and su***de prevention awareness, watching baseball (one of Luke’s favorite sports) and simply sharing space with one another as a reminder that YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.
Last year’s event raised over $28,800 for the
Luke Traylor Memorial Scholarship, which will allow us to give out $1,000 scholarships to multiple Slinger High School graduating seniors for 2026. We are only able to do this because of your generous support and donations.
As part of our fundraising efforts for this year, we are asking for donations of all kinds: sponsorships (varying levels), individual donations, raffle baskets/ basket items, musical talent (solo/ duo/ band acts), and event volunteers.
