𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽

Saturday at the Dells was nothing to brag about. The car just wasn’t there all day — lacking handling in the corners. Mitch qualified 21st and started 21st in the 200-lap feature. He was able to work his way up to 16th by lap 60, but a couple of restarts shuffled him back to 20th. Around lap 120, a rear-end vibration developed, forcing Mitch to pull off and end our night early.

We regrouped and went through the car Sunday at Slinger.

Mitch qualified 11th and then ran away with the heat race after starting 2nd, picking up the win 🏆

Starting 11th in the feature, Mitch was making progress when about 20 laps in, a vibration developed in the front of the car, suspected to be a shock issue. The handling became a challenge, but Mitch continued to make several passes and bring the car home with a strong 6th-place finish.

Not the weekend we wanted at the Dells, but we were able to regroup and have a strong outing at Slinger 🏁

Alan Kulwicki Night was pretty good to us!

We struggled with a tight car throughout most of the day, but the team made all the right adjustments following a 16th-place qualifying effort. Mitch started 6th in the heat and drove his way up to 3rd.

Starting 16th in the feature, Mitch worked his way up to 12th within the first 10 laps. From there, traffic and a few restarts made it difficult to keep moving forward, but Mitch kept fighting and eventually charged his way through to a 7th-place finish.

Pretty cool to race on Alan Kulwicki Night in a #7 and finish 7th in 77 laps. 🏁

Looking forward to the Dells this Saturday!

A solid night and another top-10 finish!

Mitch qualified 12th, and with the invert, earned a front row outside starting spot for the 250-lap feature. Early on, the car struggled to get drive off the corners, causing Mitch to fall back to 15th.

He settled into a rhythm there for about 30 laps. After a couple cautions and restarts, Mitch would make his way to 12th and settle there for a while.

Over the final 150 laps, Mitch continued to work his way up and racing between 12th and 9th. When the checkered flag flew, he crossed the line with a 9th place finish 🏆

🏆 6th place finish at the Slinger Nationals

With only the top 16 qualifiers locked into the show, Mitch put together a great qualifying run, earning the 15th-fastest time and securing a spot in the field. He rolled off 15th for the 200-lap feature.

Beginning laps were a challenge as the car was bottoming out, causing Mitch to slip back to 22nd within the first 20 laps. As the tires came in, he slowly worked his way through the field with a tight car. Mitch was back up to 15th by the halfway break.

During the pit stop, the team bolted on new tires and made a few adjustments. The car got better but was still tight. Mitch was able to avoid many wrecks and make a few passes, making his way to 12th with a few laps to go.

In the final 10 laps, Mitch avoided multiple wrecks, and a series of late-race incidents completely reshuffled the running order. When the checkered flag flew, Mitch crossed the line 6th 💪🏼

A huge effort by the entire team the last couple days, especially in the heat 🥵 We’re proud to come away with a top-six finish in one of the biggest short track races of the year!!
