Oktoberfest Race Recap 🏁🍂

We showed up Wednesday and Thursday with decent speed and high hopes. But come Thursday’s feature, our setup only had speed for about 10 laps before it completely fell off.

Friday and Saturday were a grind — chasing speed that seemed to disappear the harder we worked for it. We qualified 22nd of 29 for Sunday’s Midwest Tour race and ran the qualifier to determine our starting spot, but again, the car just wasn’t there.

Sunday morning, we regrouped, took a big swing at the setup — and it paid off. 💪 Mitch started 28th in the 200-lapper and worked his way up to 20th before the first caution around lap 50. By the halfway mark, he climbed to 18th before the competition caution, where we put on two new right-side tires and fueled up.

Not long after, Mitch picked up debris from a wreck around lap 130, causing a flat right front. The crew got him back out, but we had to bolt on the old 100-lap tire, putting us a lap down. Even with 3 used-up tires, Mitch fought hard and brought it home 17th.

It wasn’t the weekend we hoped for, but after a frustrating few days, we’re proud of how the team regrouped and finished strong 😎

What a night at Slinger Super Speedway 🏁

After such a tough year, this one means a lot — Rookie of the Year! 🙌

There are so many people to thank:

First and foremost, our incredible crew who never give up, no matter what’s thrown at us.

Mike Egan for lending us his car so we could continue our Rookie of the Year battle.

And of course, all of our amazing sponsors — we couldn’t do this without your support. 🖤

Race Recap:
Mitch qualified 11th of 16 and rolled off 11th in the feature. About 20 laps in, he worked his way up to 9th before being sent to the back after contact with another car. Mitch fought back hard, climbing to 8th within 10 laps and holding strong there through the finish.

Race Recap – Dells Raceway Park 🏁

For the first time this season, we unloaded with a car that felt competitive at the Dells. Mitch qualified 12th of 25 and lined up 12th for the feature.

Starting on the outside lane, he got shuffled back to 15th within the first 20 laps. With a few cautions, some smart lane choices, and a car that was handling well, Mitch worked his way up to 10th.

Unfortunately, another car’s motor let go in front of him. Mitch got caught in the oil, couldn’t turn, and ended up with damage to the right-front suspension and chassis — ending our night early.

Proud of the progress and the speed we had, but wish we had more to show than a DNF.

Just when we thought our day was done after motor issues in first practice, Mike Egan and the Egan Motorsports team stepped up in a huge way 🙌

They’ve been so generous to let Mitch hop in the Bonafide Safe & Lock #89 car! He was able to get out for second practice, get a good feel for it, and now we’re waiting on the track to dry for qualifying.

Can’t thank this team enough for the opportunity! 👊

Grundy Recap 🏁
Qualified 2nd of 21
Feature: 10th ➡️ 15th

We kicked off the night strong with a great qualifying run — breaking the track record for a short time, until the other #7 edged us out by just .030 seconds to take quick time.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize on that momentum in the feature. With rain in the forecast, heats were scrapped and we went straight into the 100-lap main. Mitch rolled off 10th, battled hard on the outside early, and settled into 13th. The car was super tight with no drive, making it tough to gain ground.

Rain came at lap 36, causing a delay before we got back out to finish the race, but the car didn’t improve and we crossed the line 15th.

Not the finish we were aiming for, but we’ll regroup and be back stronger. 👊

Race Recap – Gandrud Auto Group 250 🏁
Qualified: 22 of 27
Feature: DNF

What a day… and unfortunately, nothing to show for it but two wrecked cars.

We made some last adjustments and went out with two minutes left in the final practice. First turn in, the lower control arm bolt broke, sending the car straight into the Turn 2 wall. The front and rear stub was destroyed, and we still need to assess the rest of the damage.

With no time to spare, we rolled out the backup car, got everything switched over, hustled it through tech, and headed straight to qualifying — without a single practice lap in it. Mitch put it 21st out of 27. Thank you to everyone that lended a hand at that time 👏🏻

We made a few adjustments and went into the 250-lap feature starting 22nd. The car handled okay, and Mitch picked up a couple spots, running around 20th until the first pit stop. We opted to stay out, which bumped us up to 6th for the restart. From there, Mitch slowly slid back to about 20th and rode there for the next 60 or so laps.

Then, disaster struck again — an incident right in front of us left Mitch with nowhere to go damaging our front end which ended our night.

Now it’s full focus in the shop for the next week and a half to get ready for Grundy. 👊
