VARSITY HEAD COACH.

We are extremely excited to announce that we have promoted Alex Burkel to take over the Owls baseball program!

Alex, a 2010 graduate of Slinger, has spent the previous 5 seasons working with our athletes starting at the JV level and has spent the last 3 seasons as the Head Varsity Assistant Coach.

Grady Chvosta’s final WIAA hit comes against 1st Team All-Stater Brett Paulsen from Kewaunee. During the WBCA All-Star Tournament Grady went 5 for 10 with 2 Doubles, 1 RBI and 3 Runs Scored!

Grady is the first Slinger participant in the All-Star tournament since Alex Burkel in 2010!

1st Team - Nathan Miller (Pitcher), Brayden Zimmerman (Infield)

2nd Team - Payton Tennies (Outfield)

Again, what a season. What a ride. Played a top 3 toughest schedule in the state and found ways to win.

Also had 7 wins against ranked opponents. This team should always be remembered as a scrappy bunch of kids who were fine with it being ugly as long as we came out on top. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for Birdball, USA!!

Last night wasn’t the ending we hoped for.

However, proud is an understatement.

Graduated 13 from 2025, including the conference Player of the Year and 7 All-Conference guys.

We had 15 players make their Varsity debuts this year. We had to battle key injuries throughout the season and through all that this group still accomplished some major things:

• Won Conference for a 2nd straight year
• Won the 2nd most games in a season during the Spring Ball Era
• Set or tied 3 different individual records

What a phenomenal group of young men who can hold their heads up high forever. Thank you to the 2026 Seniors!
