Now that the dust has settled on another exciting week of section baseball, we’d like to congratulate the Sleepy Eye Public baseball team on a great season and a Section 2A runner-up finish.

We’d also like to thank all of the players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and fans who helped make the tournament a success at the Sleepy Eye Ballpark.

We had more than 2,000 fans visit the ballpark throughout the tournament, creating a tremendous atmosphere and showcasing what baseball means to our community.

Thank you all for supporting baseball in Sleepy Eye!

Your Sleepy Eye Indians closed out their season with a loss in the Section 2A Championship vs Madelia 5-0 after winning game 1 to force a winner take all!

We want to thank our Seniors Kayden Klein and Carter Lazatin for all of their time over the years and their excellent leadership all season. And who could forget our stat girls Hannah Meyer and Macy Martinez, your dedication is always appreciated!

We close out the "Indians" era with a second place finish. Proud of the way our kids represented the uniform game in and game out. Thank you to all of the fans, players, grandparents, parents, and community of Sleepy Eye! We absolutely adore the support.

This evening following their respective practices, players and coaches from St. Mary's and Sleepy Eye Public, along with additional volunteers did some field work to prep for the Section Playoffs and Section 2A Tournament being held in Sleepy Eye beginning Thursday.

Work being done was edging all around the ballpark, hauling in loads of agrilime, hanging a privacy screen down the LF line, and plenty of shoveling, raking, and leveling. We thank everyone involved to do this work. It was a big project off of our plate that cut hours upon hours off our "to-do list" THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
