Here’s what their mother had to say about their journey at EDK:

“Eight years ago a shy and reserved boy entered EDK. He was quiet and unsure of himself. He had tried karate before and liked it but the dojo didn’t seem the correct fit. We heard from a friend of his about EDK and tried it. He really fit in the dojo and the instructors were excellent with him.

Today he is a confident and focused practitioner. He is a black belt. He’s Delta Squad, has been invited to join SWAT and loves assisting at testing. He has become a motivated young man who is focused on his future.

To see them today you would not know the start of their journey. Eight years ago they were shy and quiet siblings. Alex came to EDK first and then Justine came on a bring a friend night.

We went from two quiet reserved kids to confident and vocal Sabum in that time.

Alex is a member of several groups in the dojo and has been invited to SWAT. Justine is part of the instructor staff, SWAT, and is currently training for her 2nd dan black belt. She recently returned from Army training and came back to continue her training.

They both enjoy the training and the friendship they have found at EDK.”
