A little late but here’s our end of the year recap!
We took our 3 stockers and our pro imp to every race this year! That means no major mechanical issues🙏! We did not do as many races as we would have liked and definitely lacked on test time this year. However, we managed to take 2 riding trips totaling 1100 miles so we’ll still call that a win! For racing we did 1 Royal mountain, 5 Jerry rice racing, and ended it with a Bear Creek! With the 4 sleds we got:
(11) - 🥇
(9) - 🥈
A bunch of semi finals, and lots of round wins!

Our goals for next year are to hit it hard and early to come out swinging. Few more races, way more testing, and maybe a trip north of the border 🇨🇦.

Would like to give a final thank you to our family for holding down the house and dog while we are gone, and our little racing family for the help on and off the track .

See that 4’ wide strip of snow? Yes that’s all we have left to test on and we are doing all we can to finish this year strong! Found over 2 mph in 300’ at the house on a less than optimal day. Stockers also got a day of love and improvements up in NY last weekend. We won’t quit till we are on top🏁😤

Time for some stats from the 2024/25 season! SMR is on its second year of running with the big boys in the money classes. The stock 700 is the only sled that has been similar for a few years. The stock 800 and Pro imp 700 are 2 seasons in and the stock 600 is only a half season in! For reference in the 2023/24 season we had 4 sleds total, ran 6 events and only had (3) 1st and (2) 2nds TOTAL for all sleds and all events!!!

What a way to end our season! We got the sleds ready for a long and wild track that isn’t what we normally run but is a blast. It is no doubt a drivers hill. Was rougher than normal which made the 2 rollers a challenge to time just right. We still made it happen and almost had a 100% clean sweep 🧹. Starlett borrowed grandmothers 500 as ours was down and she gave it her best in the youth class and we are super proud of her. That’s a wrap for us this season and can’t wait to come out next year even harder😎🏁.

SMR made our way up testing on Friday in central PA and then went north east to The Salisbury Ridgerunners Where Old Friends Meet Saturday for some racing. We just can’t make it happen when the track is loose as we rely on our holeshots. It started to harden up and we were progressing throughout the day but still no luck. Went a bunch of rounds but just couldn’t take home a win. Then we made our way to Royal Mountain Ski Area where the track was cold, hard, and fast and made up for the downer at Salisbury. Had high hopes for the pro imp and was fighting a traction game all day/night. (Here’s a pic of the one time it hooked up). All and all it was a good day and have a lot to take away from it.
We had at royal mountain:

2nd - Imp Stock 600 $
2nd - Stock 850 $
2nd - Stock 850t/1000/turbo $

We ran out of time to fix the pro improver so we took the 3 stockers to snow ridge. Track was looser than we anticipated and it was a tough track for our set ups. We took a 2nd in stock 700, and a few classes went to the semi finals. The rest we went rounds. There was also nobody in Starletts JR classes but thank you to the Ward Racing Team for donating the 600 sled to let her race her dad! Wasn’t a bad night, but took some work that’s for sure. Can’t wait for the next one! Thank you to our sponsors woodys traction, JBL transport and our family holding down the house and dog back at home!

SMR decided to take the sleds up to NY for the riding trip we had planned and swing by a race on the way home. The race we planned on got canceled so we tried the Mile Hill Snow drags for the first time. Smaller club organized race but was still a good time! Had a break down on the pro imp causing it not to run but the 3 stockers did their thing! We had: 600 imp stock - 1st.
