We are heartbroken over the passing of Lisa Rice. You could always spot her at the games cheering for DP22 with a huge smile on her face. She was everything that is right with being a parent of a young athlete. Game days won’t be the same without her.

We will have much more to say about Lisa and have more to come about everyone can support the family. But for now, please take a look at helping with meals for the family.

There is a great saying to live by: change is a process, not a decision.

The Knights 10U and 11U boys have been working very hard at proper fundamental baseball, knowing that success isn’t always right in front of them. That isn’t easy for young men at this age, especially in this time of instant gratification. But this weekend was a nice reward as both teams were able bring home some tournament victories!

We are late posting this, but the entire CD Knights family was able to make a big impact on their Community this Christmas. We were able to provide a Christmas for 3 families in the Central Dauphin area! Unfortunately due to Covid once again the entire team was not able to deliver the presents, but Coach Tony Reynolds was able to coordinate with one of his neighbors to collect and distribute to the local families. Thank you to all of the Knight's families who helped make these local families have a great Christmas.

We also are working on having a lot more content on our Facebook and new Instagram account (CDKnights), we think 2022 is going to be a special year and we are excited to share all that is going on with the Knights!

Today is the day to be thankful, and we are thankful for all of the help from the CD Knights families. Last night we were able to deliver a full Thanksgiving meal to a local family living in single home with 10 children. In addition, we were able to deliver additional food, clothing, and hygiene products that the family needed. It is great to see our boys developing into high character young men who are making an impact in their community!

On every play, every player has a job to do whether they are hit the ball or not. The Braves cost themselves a run in the World Series with a few mental mistakes and a lack of effort.

Men on first and second and ball in the OF, the third basemen moves to his cut position. But the ball took the SS to the outfield, and he doesn’t hustle to third to recover. The LF doesn’t recognize this and throws to an empty base at third. That shouldn’t have be an issue if the Pitcher hustled to their backup spot and adjusted to the play, but he was lackadaisical and cost himself and his team momentum and runs (they got another one after this).

Baseball is a mental sport, and it needs all 9 guys playing together to win.

Solid weekend for the 10u Knights. 2-2 finish against some good competition including a 9-8 10 inning win on Sunday morning. Way to battle fellas!
