The F/V Leilani-Marie is a family operated commercial fishing business. This boat has been in the family since 2005. The operation is run by our Skipper also known as daddy Joshua Brandenburg. Josh has almost 30 years of fishing experience. From gillnetting in Bristol Bay to Herring fishing in Southeast to a childhood fishing with his Grampa Vic on the Columbia River. mmer is me, his wife Raychel Brandenburg. Our three children also are a part of the operation. Halia 19 yrs., Nohea 15 and Chandler 9. They have been on the boat almost every summer since we've had her. We have had a few different deckhands through the years, Rob Crowner our good friend, Lindsey Brandenburg, Josh' brother, Ryden Tacbian, my cousin, Piko Hernandez and Sage Brandenburg our nephew. This year we will be bringing our God son and nephew , Koapaka Brandenburg 13 yrs old for his first commercial fishing experience. The Leilani-Marie works from June- September catching assorted salmon in Southeast-Alaska. From Kings to Sockeye to Keta and Coho. Commercial fishing is a great adventure we share with our family especially because we are from Hawaii. For the rest of the year our family lives on Kauai, Hawaii. We all get to get off the rock and readjust our sealegs. It allows our kids to experience something that alot of people never would.
