Rumblers,
If you know of any photographers who were on course and would like to share their pictures, please let me know.
Thank you!

Also, put April 11, 2027 on your calendars for the 25th Rumble! A quarter century of Rumblin' is crazy for me to think about, and also makes me so proud and humbled. I hope to see you there.

Happy Spring, Rumblers!!! Spring is definitely, well, Springing in Sisters (it's going to be 70 next weekend!), the course is very much snow-free, and many of the trees that fell on-course over the winter have been cleared by your favorite AS 6 captain!

A couple of cool new sponsors we recently picked up for this year:
Crazy Mountain NA Beer. WOOHOO!! Crazy Mountain is a brand new non-alcoholic beer (one of your fellow Rumblers is the head brewer) and they have graciously offered to bring lots of beer to let you sample, plus they will be providing 6-packs to prize winners! They will be hanging out at packet pickup on Saturday at Blazin Saddles and at the post-race festivities at the track. This is something I've wanted for years (decades, perhaps), and it's finally coming to fruition.

The other new sponsor is Tater Boost, a potato-based fuel that will be a perfect on-course snack for a couple of the 40-mi and marathon aid stations. They will have a booth setup for the post-race party so you 20-milers will get to taste the goodness, too.

Along with Crazy Mountain NA Beer and Tater Boost, we will also have a booth setup from Crapsule https://crapsuleus.com/, which is a great option for on-trail dog waste. Other sponsors with post-race goodies will be Alden's Ice Cream, coming in strong with enough ice cream treats for all (including some dairy-free options!), and UnTapped (our favorite new sponsor from my new home state of Vermont!) will be providing the same tasty Mapleaid electrolyte drink that will be on-course.

My buddy Jacob will be there again to excite you about the awesomeness that running his stage race FULL STOKE and HALF STOKE in the majestic Canadian Rockies is.

So basically, we're having an unintentional vendor fair with all sorts of cool trail running goodies. Bring the fam!

And, of course, there will be the usual Longboard Louie's East burrito bar and baked goods from Sisters Bakery.

15 days until Rumbleday!

Crazy Mountain is a premium non-alcoholic lager-style brew made for good times and clear minds, from George Clooney, Rande Ge**er, and Mike Meldman.

The Rumble has two super cool new sponsors for this year!

UnTapped, from my new state of Vermont, will be supplying our on-course gels and hydration, which are both lovingly and deliciously made with real Vermont maple syrup! Both the gels and drink are delicious and go down easy. The gels are especially great, as they go down easy even without a water chaser.

The other sponsor will be announced later this week or next. It'll be a tasty post-race treat!

5-time Rumbler Ardy is excited to show what he's done already this morning!

Come to Blazin Saddles today between 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. to say hi to my parents, pick up your bib, and, if you haven't registered yet, you can still register.

One of the things I'm most excited about for tomorrow is the post-race meal. After you get your finishers socks (sweet colors this year, chosen by Dr Mrs Rumble) or pigs ear (your choice of which of those finishers awards you get), head to the food to get long-time staples from Longboard Louie's East and Sisters Bakery, plus, brand new this year, Alden's Ice Cream will have a freezer full of ice cream!

Rob and I are headed out shortly to finish course marking, then this afternoon the mass exodus of "stuff" will move from race week HQ to race day HQ at the track. Also, there is a track meet today, so if you plan to go check out the start/finish area, just be aware of that.

Note: all of these pics are from today. 1 is from the course and 2 are from my home in VT. I'll let you decide which pics are from where.

Busy day here at Rumble HQ.

Rob and I finished marking the trail part of the course (a few miles of dirt road still to go tomorrow) with a nice jaunt over Eagle Rock and its gorgeous view.

Then I had to get some change so if people (YOU) want to register and pay cash, well, we got change for you (yes, some people still prefer cash! but you can also pay with check or venmo.). Then a trip to the airport to pick up Dr Mrs Rumble.

And then Rob made the 5-year award list. If your name is on it, see me after you finish so I can give you your award:
Mark Braun, Deron Carter, Michele Desilva, Lisa Dewitt, Gavan Graham, Jessica Graham, Jamie Krefting, Jeffrey McAlpine, Evan Moreau, Jared Voice, Thomas Whalen, Jamie Whitney, Ed Willson.

Now the 'rents are at Blazin Saddles until 5 p.m. for packet pick up and in-person registration. They will be there again tomorrow, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Oh, and Blazin Saddles is offering 10% off to Rumblers this weekend on most "stuff", especially food, drinks, etc. And for registration, you can also do that on Sunday morning at the race.

Tacos & Mas tacos, Zoiglhaus Brewing Company and Cascade Lakes Brewing Company beer, Alden's Ice Cream and friends for dinner!

That's a good Rumblin' prep day.

Course marking has been going exceptionally well! Course marking helpers extraordinaire Ashley Nordell and Rob Kapfer have been making sure that I haven't been keeping too much distance between flags.

And the mountains finally came out yesterday and today, along with 70 degree temps, for some sweet course marking views and warmth. I love the sun (Vermont doesn't really know what that is)!!

Online registration is still open through 11:59 p.m. PDT tonight, then you can register in-person at packet pick up tomorrow and Saturday at Blazin Saddles, and Sunday at the start/finish.

Happy Rumble Week..er, make that Happy 23rd Rumble Week!!!

I can't believe this is the 23rd Rumble! I am very much humbled that you have all loved the Rumble almost as much as I do to help support it for almost a quarter of a freakin' century. Wow. That really is pretty darn cool.

Anyway, the main thing I want to say today is that we still have plenty of availability to register! I've just updated online registration so you can register via UltraSignup until Thursday night, April 10 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. After that, you can register in-person at packet pick up on Friday (3-5 pm) and Saturday (11 am - 5 pm) at Blazin Saddles bike shop in Sisters, or even on race morning at the track.

I'm about to head out with my course-marking-helper extraordinaire, Ashley, to start, well, marking the course. I'll provide trail condition updates throughout the week, but I hear that it's in great shape.

Let's get ready to Rumble!!!
