After the Spring Ting championship games were done and I had finished mostly cleaning up around the ballpark, I stopped for a moment to soak it all in. I really enjoy running these tournaments in Siren. It's a lot of work but seeing so many familiar faces year after year enjoying getting out and playing the game I once enjoyed playing keeps me wanting to do it more. I wanted to thank everyone who made the last two weekend tournaments possible at Siren Ball Park. The Siren Open went off well despite the temps being near or below freezing all day with the wind chill and the Siren Spring Ting was a success again thanks to nice weather all day Sat and more importantly all the people behind the scenes getting and keeping the fields in playing condition prior to the tournaments, that includes in Frederic, and working in the concession stand for both weekends. The players see me running around and credit me with more than I deserve for making these tournaments successful. I don't do it all and couldn't make them happen if not for everyone who puts time and effort into running the ballpark, maintaining the fields, and running concessions. It is a team effort and though I might not say thank you in the moment when I see all of you helping me run these tournaments, I truly am thankful and appreciate all your hard work helping make them happen. I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming summer ball season and I look forward to seeing many of you back in Siren again next year!
