Team assignments for SD VFW Baseball 12U State Tournament Divisions, 7/17-19/2026. The pool assignments and brackets will not be posted until the week of the tournament at the latest. We're working with the hosts to get these done.

Here are the team assignments for 7th-9th Grade State Tournament Divisions, 7/24-26/2026. Game times may change as the hosts get field and official availability set. Official information will be found our website (https://www.sdvfwbaseball.com/home) With 4 divisions, the Tournament of Champions will be held 8/8/2026. We're still finalizing the location of the Tournament of Champions.

Varsity and JV will not be posted until late registration ends on 6/21.

Section 2 of the 2026 SD VFW Baseball Rules (https://www.sdvfwbaseball.com/rules-forms) presents all the factors to determine your team's eligibility to play in our sanctioned events.

2026 SD VFW Baseball Rule 2.11, describes the process of determining team division assignment using SDHSAA ADM numbers and other factors:

2.11.1. Tournament Division assignment is determined by Average Daily Membership, MALE Only (ADM) as defined by the South Dakota High School Activities Association and other factors, such as team performance information. The school district or sports co-op paired with local governing organization location will be used to determine starting ADM.

2.11.2. The South Dakota High School Activities Association Alphabetical Listing web page for MALE Only ADMs will be used to determine team total ADM. Your VFW Baseball team Co-op must be listed on the SDHSBA website or the SDHSAA Cooperative page under the Baseball listing to be a valid team for sanctioning by the local governing body. A team that doesn’t participate in the SDHSBA program may petition SD VFW Baseball explaining their situation/proposed co-op and extenuating circumstances to help determine team validity and ADM determination.
