WORLD CHAMPION CONTENDERS!

Another successful Robotics season has wrapped up for Ram Robotics. Two of our middle school teams finished in the top 5 at the state championship, and one of our elementary teams finished in the top 5 at the state championship. Congratulations!

One of our teams, Robocore, won the highest award, the Excellence Award, at the state championship. This makes them the only middle school team in the ENTIRE STATE to qualify for the World Competition in Dallas, Texas the first week in May. This competition sees teams from all over the world!

Another Ram Robotics season is in the book following our State Championship competition! What an incredible season of growth, hard work, camaraderie, and achievement!

Our teams competed and cooperated with all they had at the state tournament! Some individual accomplishments during the main competition were a 5th place elementary division finish for Lyla and Ariah in their first year, 4th place middle school division for Ethan, Noah and Luke's team, and 2nd place for Lainey, Ava, and Tatum.

Vex IQ is all about engineering, teamwork, and the multi-faceted growth of STEM skills so they award achievement outside of the main competition. The Excellence Award is the highest award presented in the VEX IQ Challenge. This award is presented to the team that exemplifies overall excellence in creating a high quality VEX robotics program. This team is a strong contender in numerous award categories including their team interview, their documentation of the design process in their Engineering Notebook, their programming skills performance, and their achievement in the main competition.

This year our young ladies Lainey, Ava, and Tatum of 28595X Robocore won the award! This is the first excellence award our program has earned in the 6 years we've been competing and this award automatically qualifies them to compete in the Robotics World Championship in Dallas this coming May!

The competitive season began today at one of our favorite tournament locations: Harrisburg South Middle School. We had a lot of great learning moments for our four teams in attendance, with this being the first tournament for a good number of our roboteers. Congrats to Lainey, Ava and Tatum of 28595X for earning the Design Award for a phenomenal robot design, a fine team interview, and an incredibly thorough engineering notebook! They also earned the people's choice award for their rock, paper, scissors costumes!

Our season is in full swing with 15 roboteers getting to work on the design process to build a robot that can compete in the Vex IQ Challenge this year, Full Volume.

Congratulations 28595X Roboforce! Peyten W and Lainey H just became the first team in Ram Robotics and Sioux Falls history to qualify and attend the Vex IQ Middle School World Championship!

Over 8,500 teams across 47 countries and all 50 states participated in this season's Vex IQ challenge Slapshot, but only 780 teams made it to the World Championship.

The highlight of the tournament was their skills challenge score of 130 pts, which placed them at 384th out of all teams. This ranks them above half of the top 10% of teams in the world!

They learned, grew, practiced humility, and let their light shine working with teams from Vietnam, China, Utah and more! (They got to make their pit area look AWESOME with a little help from their art teacher)

Ram Robotics is still the only Vex IQ robotics program in Sioux Falls but more teams are joining the program every year! We thank our supporters for cheering us on this season to help us get to this tournament and to God be the glory!

No video out yet but at the world championship finals but the name of the new Vex IQ challenge was released and they showed the new field!

We'll be starting up early with some events this summer like a camp, workshop, or combination of them to really get started out strong!
