Update on remaining funds:

The board has voted to send the remaining balance of $3,285.79 to the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center due to the many years of putting up with us and their conservation activities.

This will be the last post on this account and I will leave the page up for the remainder of the month before closing this down as well.

Thank you again for the many years of memories and adventures and we will see you around the lakes.

Reminder that this Saturday is the benefit breakfast for Steve Miller. Steve has been a huge help to our organization for many years and any help we can give to help in his recovery I am sure would be greatly appreciated. Details in the image below.

Good afternoon Anglers,

During our meeting today we made the difficult decision to shut down the club effictive Jan 1st. We will have a send off at our Holiday party and will discuss an organization to pass any remaining funds off to.

Even though things may be coming to an end we still have events this year that we look forward to seeing everyone at including Trunk or Treat at the South Sioux City Hyvee and our Holiday party. We will not have a general meeting in October.

We also have a huge favor to ask. Steve, who has been our hog roast smoker for many years has been struck by major medical issues. Steve has been a big help to our organization and now we have an opportunity to help him in return. His family and friends will be hosting a pancake breakfast benefit on October 11th from 7am to noon at the Sioux City Elks Club. Please come out and show your support as it is greatly needed.

Well that was a busy event. We had well over 100 children pass through during Trunk or Treat today! 7 lucky winners recieved new fishing poles courtesy Sheels. Thank you so much Shirley for your help.
