🇺🇸 Remembering September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, Westside Little League pauses to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless heroes who responded with courage and selflessness.

We remember the families who lost loved ones, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the spirit of unity that brought our communities together.

In the days that followed, baseball became one of the many things that helped bring people back together — gathering on fields, in stands, and in communities, reminding us of the strength we find when we stand together.

At Westside Little League, we’re proud that the game we love continues to bring kids, families, and neighbors together. ⚾🇺🇸

We remember. We honor. We come together. Never Forget.

⚾💚 WHAT A NIGHT FOR WESTSIDE! 💚⚾

It was so great seeing everyone at the Sioux City Explorers game last night! One of the best parts was getting to see so many of our players back together again, having fun, and making more baseball memories. ⚾

A special congratulations and thank you to RayIs Gardner for representing Westside and throwing out the first pitch! What an awesome experience! 👏⚾

And a HUGE thank you to the Sioux City Explorers for having us, recognizing Westside Little League, and giving our players such an incredible experience. We truly appreciate the way you welcomed our players, families, and league! 💚

As we officially wrap up another season, we simply want to say THANK YOU. Thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, families, sponsors, fans, and everyone who showed up and supported Westside throughout the year. You are what makes this league and this community so special.

What a season. What a community. What a way to finish it together. 💚⚾

A huge **THANK YOU** to everyone who came out to our Closing Ceremonies on Wednesday! It was so great to see our Westside families together again and have the chance to celebrate another incredible season of baseball, growth, friendships, and memories. 💚

We also had the honor of recognizing some pretty amazing people who gave so much to Westside this season. Please help us congratulate our **2026 award winners!** 👏🏆

There is something special about a Little League community.

It’s more than just baseball. It’s parents cheering from the stands, grandparents never missing a game, siblings wearing Westside green, volunteers giving countless hours, and neighbors showing up simply because they believe in our kids.

At Westside Little League, we are incredibly blessed to have a community that truly shows up and shows out.

This video is the perfect example. During our State Championship games at Pulaski Park, the sea of green in the stands was impossible to miss. The energy, the cheers, the encouragement—you gave our players memories they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Thank you to every parent, family member, volunteer, sponsor, alum, and fan who supports Westside. Whether you’re coaching, working the concession stand, maintaining our fields, buying fundraiser tickets, or simply cheering from the bleachers, you are helping build something much bigger than baseball.

You are helping build confidence, friendships, character, and a community our players are proud to call home.

From the bottom of our hearts…thank you. We couldn’t do it without you.
