The Hornets season comes to an end in the quarterfinals with a 68-49 loss in Plainview. After a decent start and despite outscoring Plainview in the second half the Hornets could not overcome a poor second quarter against a very tough team. They played very hard and made their coach proud with their effort, competitiveness, and unwillingness to give up!
If this season could be defined in one word it would be GROWTH! Despite some early struggles and some tough losses this group managed to grow as individuals and as a team and achieved a lot to be proud of! They earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs, got a road playoff win in the second round, and battled the defending state champs hard in the quarterfinals!
We would like to thank all of the fans who cheered us on throughout the season! Home games were electric and nobody travels like Hornet Nation!
Lastly, a huge thank you to the players. We ask A LOT of these boys and they show up day in and day out in a long and tough season. They compete hard, are willing to be coached, and truly care for one another. This was a fun season that laid the foundation for future Singer Hornet teams!
