Congrats to Staples Grad and Oregon Style Running Camp Henry Wynne on his new World Record in the Distance Medley Relay.
Great young man and first person I’ve actually known that holds a world Record.
We asked him to come speak at our camp for an hour or two years ago and he said no thanks I’d rather be a counselor for the week. So happy to see him do something so special.

The Brooks Beasts broke the distance medley world record Friday night at the Oregon Relays running 9:14.98.1200m Brannon Kidder 2:49.60400m Brandon Miller 46...

As usual it is time to send out a reminder about camp. I will never get used to everyone waiting till the last minute to register. It is nerve wracking because we have to make a deposit and guarantee to the camp site by a certain date. If you plan on attending please register as soon as possible. If you know somebody who might be interested pass this on.
We run a nice camp. The kids have a good time and all get a chance to run some miles before the season starts. Always great speakers, great food, great pool time and beautiful air conditioned dorms to relax in after a great workout or two.
If thats not enough to get you excited you will always get to see the comedy act of Coach Butt and Coach Hayes trying to agree on things.

Brian Hayes Training | Private coaching
I have 16 years of certified experience working with hundreds of runners ages 12-19.
Over the years I have helped many athletes become All Americans, New England Champions, State Champions and Conference champions. The key word being helped because what I am best at is getting athletes to work past their potential and believing in themselves.
I think I could safely say my success with distance and mid distance runners has been above average across the board. I have been selected Connecticut Coach of the year twice during my career.
I am reaching out to see if there is any interest in private coaching. I am not looking for those who are members of XC/Track teams actively competing but maybe those in between seasons, maybe the soccer/ field hockey/ lax player who wants to stay in running shape for track season.
Many track athletes do soccer, field hockey, Lax after track practice in winter and spring so why can’t it go both ways?
If there is interest, plans will be tailored to individuals. Anyone out there who wants to get better I know I can help.

If you could share this with your friends, parents, and athletes it would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested or have questions I can be reached at [email protected] or facebook messenger

Congratulations to John Raneri on his 7th place finish at the Falmouth Road Race yesterday. 32:35 for seven miles.
John is a former Oregon Style Running Camp speaker.
He was a standout XC and Track runner at New Fairfield HS and University of North Carolina.
More important, John is a hardworking, polite and modest young man. A great role model for any young runner. We wish him continued success in his running career.

Hope to see some of you there

Great way to end our week long day camp. Many of the campers running the New Milford 5k/8miler.
Such a great group of kids. We met up with an Alumni camper Maggie and watched counselor Kayla Cohen celebrate her birthday running 8 miles.
Covid may of made us change things up this year but it was fun to get in a good week of running anyway.
Really great to see many of the kids step out of their comfort zone with the 8 miler. Tough course with a hill you will never forget.
Oh how I love this sport.
Good luck to all the campers in this upcomming XC season.
