A great way to wrap up our final Academy Day before the start of our 2026 HANE ELITE Summer Camps.

Thank you to all the players and families who participated throughout our Academy Days series. It was great to see players continue building on concepts introduced during previous sessions while challenging themselves through new skill progressions.

Last night’s session focused on:

πŸ’ Timing, Awareness & Teamwork

One of the biggest takeaways from Academy Days was seeing players who attended multiple sessions continue to build confidence and apply details learned earlier in the development process. This progression-based approach is a key part of the HANE Development Model and is something we emphasize throughout our summer camps.

πŸŽ₯ Today’s look INSIDE HANE training: 2-on-2 Skill Stacking Drill πŸ’

No long lines.No wasted reps.Just constant movement and puck touches.

At HANE, players are constantly working on:

πŸ’ Puck PossessionπŸ’ Offensive CreativityπŸ’ Defensive Gap Control

In this drill, the forwards start with the puck while the defense begins without sticks.

The drill starts when the defense gaps up to the forwards and pivots backward. From there, the forwards work to possess the puck, create space, and generate scoring chances.

The defense must maintain a tight gap, stay in proper defensive posture, protect the house, and stay on the defensive side between the puck and the net.

This is what we mean by skill stacking β€” combining puck possession, creativity, gap control, body positioning, and game-real decision making into one drill.

This is the type of high-tempo development environment players experience every day at our 2026 HANE ELITE Summer Camps.

Players are always moving, always thinking, and always improving.
