You KNOW we’re always telling you to try and eat before a workout. But…we get it. The struggle is real, especially before early classes, and especially when it gets really hot out. But pre-workout nutrition doesn’t need to be hard. Annie shares a few of her faves for getting that fuel in.

It’s SUMMER ☀️ (maybe not officially yet, but it’s summer enough, right?) and that means it’s the season for vacations and road trips and weeks away from the gym.

But you go to Simpsonville Fitness Company, and that means you like to get in a workout even when you can’t get to the gym…riiiiight?

Lucky you, we’ll be dropping workouts all throughout the summer that you can take wherever you go—minimal or no equipment, indoors or out.

Meet Coach !

A regular 6:30am attender / 6:30pm coach, Jeff has been leading classes at SVL for three years. When you were a new member, Jeff is probably one of the first people who came up, introduced himself to you, and made you feel welcome—that’s just the kind of person he is.

Learn more about him, his athletic background, and a fun fact that most members don’t know (hint: give him a microphone, throw on some music, and see what happens).

Wondering what happens in a CrossFit class? If you’ve never taken one before, don’t be intimidated—it follows a regular format.

Your coach will start by explaining that day’s workout and the stimulus, then lead you through a general warm-up, followed by a workout-specific warmup.

Workouts are different every day, but they’re each designed to help you become fitter across a broad range of time domains and movements. Some days, you’ll see a strength-based workout; other days you’ll see a longer workout with a mix of movements, like the one in this video.

Some days we run, row, or bike. Other days we lift, jump, or climb. And some days we do it all!
And if you’re nervous that you can’t do a movement, don’t worry: there are PLENTY of ways to scale or modify, and we promise you won’t be the only one doing it. (You can browse our page to see examples of different ways to modify the toughest movements!)
