I asked Joyce Schubert why she didn't marry a Mozart. instead? No insult meant but I had trouble playing Schubert ! I remember all of those before school Bible studies by the way< Joyce. Hope you're still "performing" them!

I said, I took some time off to do some sculpting, but though you can take the girl away from the music, I couldn't seem to take the music out of the Girl! (The mermaid, that is!) She became a MUSICAL!

I'm Lynda (Faye) Phillips from Moline Illinois; just found out I was born in what used to be called "Rockey" Island! Back when the Native Blackhawk Tribe was ever-present. We always called it "Rock Island,"and for sure, WE are all Mississippi Valley Ladies-the gals from the Class of 64! I guess I spent more time with my Aunt's ponies, and that violin, than with my classmates-Moved to California and learned guitar. I graduated with that Rock Guitarist, Fred Railsback, and thought he was just some "band guy" who played that guitar for our "Sock Hops", but find he's quite a talented singer AND guitarist-so "As Fred Gold" and "Lynda Faye" we formed a "duet in cyberspace", and called ourselves The Illinois Harmony Connection. I do hope my female friends know that the "Mississippi Valley Lady" (and the theme song from it) was inspired by THEM. My daughter asked me how long I will be "living in the past ", and I tell her, probably AS long as I LIVE! I live to write-and probably write "to live", and I await communication with my friends whom also want to keep that "Spirit of Living in the Past" ALIVE for future generations to also enjoy!
