APRIL 2026- CONCEALED CARRY
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
Consistent with revised statute NMAC 29-19-7, two-day CCW training classes for first-time concealed carry applicants will be offered on April 25-26, 2026.
When: April 25-26 (Saturday-Sunday)
Where: TELESTO office
1303 N. Pope St., Suite A
Silver City, NM 88061
Hours: Day 1: 8 am to 5 pm (8 hours) Day 2: 8 am to 4 pm (7 hours)
Cost: A non-refundable $125 per student must be paid in advance and must be received no less than two days before the class to reserve your seat. Checks only please to: Neal Ackerly, 2959 Aragon Avenue, Las Cruces, NM 88007. A minimum of 2 students will be needed for the class to proceed; otherwise the class will be canceled. Checks will be shredded if only 1 person signs up.
• Students are also responsible for a $5 range fee on qualification day.
• Please note that first-time applicants will need an additional $59.00 for fingerprinting and $100 for a State Police background check; this is not paid to me but to other entities.
• Renewals have a half-day class on Sunday at the Telesto office at 8 am. Cost is $65 to me in advance at the above address. Added fees include $75.00 to the State Police. Per a change from the FBI, renewals now require a new set of fingerprints at a cost of $59.00. These fees go to other entities, not me.
• Refreshers are $65 to me in advance; show at the range, no classes or fingerprints are required.
• Students are responsible for providing all ammunition for qualification; factory only please.
Other: • A one-hour lunch break will be held on each day of class.
• Please bring the pistol(s) with which you want to qualify to class.
• Bring both semi-automatics and revolvers if you wish to be licensed for both.
• Also bring whatever carry device (holster, purse, etc.) that you want to use.
• NO live ammunition in class under any circumstances!
