And with that, the 2026 Chatham County Yardbirds season comes to a close.

The Yardbirds fell to the Clayton Clovers in the Piedmont Division Playoffs, bringing an end to an unforgettable inaugural season.

Thank you to our players, coaches, staff, sponsors, and every fan who supported us all summer long. Your support helped make this first season one to remember.

A special thank you to Campbell University for graciously allowing us to use Jim Perry Stadium to host the Piedmont Division Playoffs. We truly appreciate your hospitality and support in providing a first-class venue for postseason baseball.

‼️PLAYOFFS‼️
The Piedmont Division Playoffs begin tomorrow, July 26, at Jerry Perry Stadium on the campus of Campbell University.

The Chatham County Yardbirds will take on the Clayton Clovers in the second game of the day at 3:30 PM, following the matchup between the Wake Forest Fungo and the Raleigh Red Oaks.

The winners of both semifinal games will advance to the championship game at 7:00 PM.

Final | Doubleheader Recap

The Yardbirds came up short in both games of today's doubleheader against the Sanford Spinners, falling 0-13 in Game 1 and 10-13 in Game 2.

Despite the tough opening game, the Yardbirds battled back in the nightcap, putting together a strong offensive effort with 10 runs, but couldn't complete the comeback.
