We are about a month away from opening weekend with our Iowa Sting 12U team

Iowa Sting 10U concluded their fall softball season yesterday, wrapping up with a record of 5-1-1. This team has made incredible progress in just a year, showing remarkable determination to improve both as individual players and as a team. Their strong mental approach to the game has significantly impacted their performance. This season also marks the end of their time playing 10U softball, and we can expect great things from this talented group in the future.

Throughout October, they will persist in their practice to further their understanding of the game and refine their skills. They are poised to return to the field this spring with a heightened level of competence. Beware, as they are determined to make a significant impact.

Yesterday, the Iowa Sting 10U team had the honor of playing a doubleheader against the formidable TC STORM 10U team from Pella, Iowa. While our first game did not produce the desired result, resulting in a 15-0 loss, we seized the opportunity to learn and regroup before facing them again shortly after. The girls displayed remarkable resilience and determination, battling valiantly until the very last minute of the game. As a result, we managed to achieve a commendable 7-7 tie. We concluded the game with a team total of 11 stolen bases, with Molly Collins, Alivia Davis, and Charlie Smallwood, each contributing multiple stolen bases. There are many valuable lessons to be learned from yesterday's game. This team continues to demonstrate an impressive ability to grow and learn at a rapid pace. Two of the most important lessons we can take away from yesterday are the importance of never giving up, regardless of the score, and the significance of always giving 100% effort in everything we do. These factors can truly make a significant difference in the outcome of a game.

Today, our 14U team engaged in a symbolic gesture to commemorate the brave firefighters who lost their lives during the tragic events of 9/11. As a tribute to their sacrifice, our team diligently ascended and descended 110 flights of stairs, honoring their memory and underscoring the significance of this day. Never forget. 🇺🇸❤️
