Here’s what you need to know:

7:00-7:45: Trucks and teams should arrive at Taylors Ol’ Fashioned Market in the following time slots:

* 7am: Majors
* 7:10am: Challenger
* 7:10am: AAA
* 7:15am: AA
* 7:30am: A & Tball
* 7:40am: Intermediates & Juniors

8:00: Parade starts

9:00-9:45: Opening Ceremonies

Rest of the day: Opening Day games (and NO team photos since we did them last week 🙌)

Hey Madre!

Opening day is one week away! That means we have 7 days left for our annual fundraiser that allows us to keep upgrading our fields. So far we have raised $14k! Thank you!!

Here are teams leading by division and currently getting a pizza party:

Tee Ball - Marlins $200

Hey Madre! Happy New Year!

AA Player Assessments are this Saturday, January 10 at Heasley. 

IMPORTANT NOTES:
-In order to play in AA your child must attend the assessment. 
-If your child already participated in the AAA Player Assessment, they do not need to attend but you must confirm they are still playing in AA.
- Parents need to be present at check in (to help sign in and verify we have received all necessary paperwork). We would also appreciate if you could stay to discuss the process and expectations.

SCHEDULE:
8:30 - 10U & 9U check in and warm up
9:00 - 10U & 9U player assessment
10:00 - 8U & 7U check in and warm up
10:30 - 8U & 7U player assessment

REMINDER: AAA player assessments are this Saturday, December 13 at SME starting at 10:00am!

In case you missed last week’s post, this year’s assessments are being run differently than past years. Instead of putting the spotlight on each player for a few reps at a few different skills, we will be conducting the assessments like we would a big practice where players will rotate through stations in groups so they can interact with teammates and coaches as they would in a real practice.  Our goal is to create balanced teams while also giving every player the best possible experience in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents need to be present at check in (to help sign in and verify we have received all necessary paperwork). We would also appreciate if you could stay to discuss the process and expectations.

And, to help make the day go smoothly, please keep the following in mind:

- Please arrive at the SME Field by 9:30 am, so players have time to check in and the coaches can explain the game plan. 

- Bring all baseball gear, including a glove, bat, helmet and cleats. If players intend to catch in the Spring 2026 season and they have their own gear, please bring that as well.

Hey Madre! This is a friendly reminder that player assessment are getting under way.
We also wanted to give you a heads up that player assessments will be different this year—not only earlier than usual but also in the way they will be run.

Madre Fam! Only TWO more days to sign up for Spring Ball! Registration closes November 20th (TOMORROW!) so please register ASAP to ensure your child is on a team.

Registration costs will go up after November 20 by $100-200 per division due to rush fees required to order additional uniforms. Please register on time so we can best prepare for Spring!

Register now at www.smll.org (via the link in profile). All skill levels for ages 4 to 14 are welcome!

We are looking forward to the 2026 Season with all of you!
