In lieu of a big tournament this year, Panhandle Putters will be putting on a bag tag mini series of 7 different events. Points will be earned at each event with the point leader in the 2 divisions, advanced and recreational, winning money, along with probably 2nd place depending on number of players. The first event is Sunday April 30th at 3 PM, Bag Tag O Tricks. Time to bring out the trick shots. In advanced each player will throw 3 FH, 3 BH, 3 FH rollers, 3 BH rollers, 3 overhand, and 3 player choice drives. Recreational will not be able to throw the same tee shot 2 holes in a row. Entry fee is $50 for the entire series. This buys a bag tag, Ace pot entry, Moss Money entry for each event, and the payout at the end. Prizes at each event and trophies. It is not required to play every event, we just want to have some fun rounds with a slightly more serious competitive format than the normal weekly league. The Metal Heads, Mulligans, and Moss Money Challenge was a huge success! Thanks to all that came out to try a new layout and have some fun doing it. Congrats to our winners: Michael Dickman- Advanced, Thad Mines- Intermediate, Bro Code- Recreational, Brianna Kampbell- Women’s, and Parker Dickman- Juniors. Also congrats to Jeffrey Ingwersen for winning the Moss Money challenge with a Metal Off! We are less than a week away from the Metal Heads tourney! Get signed up on discgolfscene or you can sign up the day of as well. I just mapped out the layout for the unique 18 holes today. A lot of wide open shots mixed with technical shots, short holes and a few bomber holes including a tough 1200 foot hole! Show your support for the SPS athletic department and have fun throwing some new holes.

Last day to register and get a player pack disc. Anyone can still register up to the day of the tourney still. This is a full bag tourney with a unique 18 holes. You get 1 mulligan per hole, no carry over and part of the proceeds go to the Sidney Raiders athletic department. Come on out, be aggressive, and test out a possible 18 hole course in Sidney!

Time to come out to Deer Run park for the Metal Heads, Mulligans, and Moss Money tournament August 6th. We will have an additional 9 holes added that could become part of the existing 9 hole layout. This tourney will also be a fundraiser for Sidney Public Schools Athletics Department. So come on out and support our student athletes and have some fun doing it. Your $20 registration fee gets you a raffle ticket for many prizes including an MVP Pro basket used on the temporary additional 9 holes.

Wow, what a night for the first week of league! Probably the hardest blowing wind we have ever had for weeklies. Steve took down the number 1 tag and the Moss Money this week, plus had the first Thad Ace of the year on the Ace Run bonus hole. Jeff had probably the 2 most entertaining tee shots of the year and is also the owner of Jeff’s Gap until next week. It’s all downhill from here!

Preseason week one is in the books! Small crowd but good to be back to throwing with the fellas again! Jeff earned the number 1 tag tonight for showing up first and paying me money. Great job Jeffrey Ingwersen! You earned it buddy! 😂😂😂
