Sidney Shooting Park – Board of Directors Update

Following tonight’s annual meeting and elections, the Sidney Shooting Park is pleased to announce its Board of Directors and officers:

We would like to congratulate Caleb Sweetser on his new role as President of the Sidney Shooting Park and wish him and the entire Board the very best as they move the organization forward.

We would also like to recognize and thank Justin Christensen, who chose not to seek reelection after serving on the Board for the past seven years, including six years as President.

We sincerely thank Justin for the time, work, and commitment he has given to the Sidney Shooting Park over the years and wish him the very best in whatever comes next.

Please join us in congratulating our newly elected Board and officers and thanking those who have dedicated their time to making the Sidney Shooting Park what it is today.

Upcoming Range Closures

Below is the list of upcoming range closures due to special events.

17 Aug 2026- Pheasants Forever Annual Meeting 5pm until Dusk PISTOL RANGE WILL BE CLOSED DURING EVENT.

29 & 30 Aug 2026- ATA Registered Shoot. 0800 until complete. ALL RANGES WILL BE CLOSED DURING EVENT.

15 Sep 2026- FFA Range Judging Competition 8am until Noon. ALL RANGES WILL BE CLOSED DURING EVENT.

SIDNEY SHOOTING PARK ANNUAL MEETING

Our Annual Meeting will be held Monday, August 24th from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Shooting Park.

Pizza and drinks will be provided.

This is also an important meeting for the future of the park. We will have three Board of Directors positions up for reelection this year.

If you’re a member who has ever thought about getting more involved, helping shape the direction of the park, or giving back to our shooting community, we encourage you to consider serving on the board. New ideas and members willing to step up are an important part of keeping the Sidney Shooting Park moving forward.

You must be a Sidney Shooting Park member to attend.

We hope to see a great turnout on August 24th!

Special notice! The SSP will be closed to all from 8 a.m. to noon on September 15th so our FFA youth can utilize the park for their range judging.

Hello everyone,
Due to the extreme heat forecast for this weekend, we have made the decision to postpone our USPSA match. While we were looking forward to seeing everyone on the range, the safety of our shooters, and staff has to come first.

The match has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 23.
Your registration will remain valid for the new date, so no action is needed if you still plan to attend.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on August 23 for a great day of shooting under hopefully much cooler conditions.
