Post 217 loses game 2 of state tournament to end the 2025 season. We want to give a huge thank you to all of our players, especially our seniors for a great year. Also, thank you to all of the families and community members involved with the program. We wouldn't be able to do this without you. We'll be back!

Even though the sr team is headed to state this weekend, our 3 Jr Legion teams ended their seasons this past weekend. Thank you to all of the players and their families for another great year of Post 217 baseball!

Post 217 finishes as the Ohio Legion Baseball Region 2 champions! It was a nailbiter, but we came out on top with a 4 run 7th inning to win 8-7 vs. Greenville Post 140.

We had 13 hits as a team.
Gavin Quellhorst (New Bremen) went 3 for 4 with a double and finished as tournament MVP! He finished the tournament 7 for 10 with a double and a triple.
Preston Hinkle (Wapak) also had a double and went 1 for 2 on the day.

Chase Monnin earned the W on the mound with 2 strikeouts over the complete game.

Our next game will be in Lancaster at Beaver Field in the State Tournament next Friday at 7:30 vs. the winner of Region 4.

Post 217 secures a spot in the Ohio Legion Baseball Region 2 tournament championship with a 3-1 against Utica Post 92.

Gavin Quellhorst (New Bremen) led the way at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a triple and 2 runs scored. Caleb Davis (Columbus Grove) had a double.

Gavin also got the W on the mound with 0 earned runs and 6 strikeouts through 4 innings pitched.
Chase Monnin (Versailles) pitched the final 3 innings with 0 earned runs and 2 strikeouts.

The championship game is Saturday at Blue Jacket Park in Bellefontaine. Game time is 12:00. We play the winner of Utica Post 92 and Greenville Post 140.

Post 217 wins game 1 of the Ohio Legion Baseball Region 2 tournament 13-3 (5 innings) against Columbus Post 532.

We had 14 hits as a team.
Landon Wills (Edison State/Bradford) went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a game winning RBI single. Noah Aufderhaar (Anna), Mason Diller (Fort Recovery), and Preston Hinkle (Wapakoneta) also had a double.
Lukah Branam (Piqua) had a triple.

Maddox Goubeaux (Russia) got the W on the mound. He surrendered 2 earned runs and had 4 strikeouts over 5 innings pitched.

We are back in action Thursday night at Blue Jacket Park in Bellefontaine against the winner of Utica Post 92 and Greenville Post 140. First pitch is at 6:30.

Post 217 goes 1-0-1 on the day in Muncie, Indiana against Kokomo Post 6 (W, 5-1) and Muncie Post 19 (T, 2-2). The Muncie game ended after 7 innings due to some weather moving into the area.

In game 1 against Kokomo, the top hitters were Caleb Davis (Columbus Grove) who went 2 for 3 with a triple and 1 RBI, and Sam Goubeaux (Fort Loramie) who went 2 for 2 with 1 walk and 1 RBI.

Chase Monnin (Versailles) got the W on the mound with 0 earned runs surrendered and 12 strikeouts across 7 innings.

In game 2 against Muncie, we had 6 guys with a hit. Chase Monnin (Versailles) had a double.

Gavin Quellhorst (New Bremen) started on the mound, giving up 1 hit and 1 earned run over 4 innings pitched with 3 strikeouts.
Maddox Goubeaux (Russia) allowed 2 hits & 0 earned runs over 2 innings pitched with 3 strikouts.
Sam Goubeaux (Fort Loramie) allowed 1 hit and had a strikeout in 1 inning pitched.

We are back in action this Tuesday night at Blue Jacket Park in Bellefontaine in the Ohio Legion Baseball Region 2 tournament. We play at 5pm against Columbus Post 532.
