We do not meet at barn in Vermont! The river is best known for it's trout fly fishing, kayaking and tubing with it's open meadows, gentle landscape and clear pools in wonderful

harmony with the valley's pictureque villages. While the river rises in East Dorset, Vt. it travels down through Arlington, Vt. and passes through Cambridge, NY. Come on out to visit Big Big on the Battenkill, located in west Arlington...only a 50 minute drive from Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa and surrounding areas. Rent a kayak to travel the scenic view or we offer tubes as well for a relaxing, slow flow down the "Dionoondwhowee" as the natives used to refer to it. Pack a picnic and make it a summer day to remember! Call to schedule your excursion down the Battenkill River via rafts or tubes. You will be driven to the drop off location, float down the beautiful river viewing wild life, fly fishermen, farmland, and beautiful green mountains where your trip will end at where your car is parked. We will come to gather the equipment and you will be with your vehicle. The Battenkill River is rated class 1 making the trip enjoyable for the whole family. However, any body of water must be respected and safety preparations a must. Life vests we supply if needed, especially for the 10 and under guests. Water shoes or sneakers you should make a must. Your safety is our first concern.

Summer Fun on the BattenKill

Roughly a 2 1/2 hour to 3 hour float. Half trips for $15 are available and runs about 1 1/2 hours. The river is best known for it's trout fly fishing, kayaking and tubing with it's open meadows, gentle landscape and clear pools in wonderful harmony with the valley's pictureque villages. Calling in advance insures you are on the calendar and for the date and time you would like to go out. Calling the day you would like to float is NOT A GOOD IDEA as we get so busy we can't handle the calls, texts, and emails and means you miss out. So call even up to the night before and if we don't answer just leave name, phone, number in group, equipment you want to rent, date and time, and don't call any place else as we will call you when we get back in the office even if it is in the evening.
