Northwood Hills Golf Club is an extraordinary 18 hole par 72 golf course. It is set in a beautiful neighborhood of Blanchard, Louisiana. The course is easily accessible, located just north of Shreveport, Louisiana and less than 15 minutes from the intersection of I-220 and North Market. The course provides a fun and challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. No less than 10 holes bring water into play. This golf haven is the perfect destination for your next golf outing or special event. Northwood Hills Golf Club was founded as Northwood Country Club in the late 1960's. The golf course featured nine holes while a turn of the century hunting lodge served as the clubhouse. In the mid 1980's a nine hole addition was completed and the course offered a challenging golf experience featuring the most varying terrain in the Shreveport/Bossier City market. In the early 2000's there were significant design changes to many of the eighteen holes. The changes include more yardage and more challenging water features and additional bunkers through-out the entire course. Also, other noteworthy changes included a remodeled clubhouse and the addition of a tournament pavilion. The remodeling of the clubhouse also included changes to the banquet room, bar, kitchen and fine dining spaces. We are proud of the fact that the modernization of the clubhouse was accomplished while retaining the wonderful character of the hunting lodge.
