David Toms Academy 265 is a 70 acre state-of-the-art golf practice facility and academy in the heart of Shreveport, Lou Members and non-Members may book a lesson.

265 is a World Class Instruction and Training Facility for golfers of all skill levels.

-600 Yard Par 5 with fairway, rough, and bunkers

Lessons at 265

Private Lessons are available for all skill levels at 265. Non-Members who book a lesson will also have full use of the facility on the day of their lesson! Lessons can include:

Hitting your driver longer
Hybrid Techniques
The correct Grip
Iron accuracy
Bunker Play
Short Game
Putting
Chipping

What does "265" Stand for? The name “265,” which is also visible in the logo, derived from David Toms’ winning score at the 2001 PGA Championship. His score of 265 still stands as the lowest aggregate total in major golf championship history! 265 was also Toms’ winning score for his first PGA TOUR win (1997 John Deere Classic) and his most recent TOUR win (2011 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial). The David Toms Academy is owned and operated by the David Toms Foundation, a 501(c)3 founded in 2003, which has awarded over $3.6 million dollars to local children’s charities.

We have several ways to get your junior golfer plugged into activities at 265.

We’re excited to offer PGA Jr. League this season! You can sign up now for PGA Jr. League at www.pgajrleague.com

Our unique Access Code is: ercc/265pgajrleague. Make sure you register before our deadline of May 19, 2021.

ERCC/265 PGA Jr. League is open to boys and girls ages 13 and under of all skill levels – no golf experience required! Our Kickoff Party is scheduled for May 20th from 5:30pm -7:00pm at the David Toms 265 Academy. Once you register you will have access to the entire practice and match schedule.

Next, we offering four weeks of summer camps at 265. Each camp will run Monday-Friday from 9 am to noon. Here are the weeks we are offering camp:

June 7-11
June 14-18
July 5-9
July 12-16

Cost is $315 for members and $400 for non-members. Call 798-5437 to register.

Finally, we have some openings in our DT2 program, which is a junior golf class that runs every Thursday at 4 pm. This class is designed for ages 8-10 (2nd-4th grade) and it's a perfect way to get your child introduced to the game. Call 798-5437 to register

Sam was already an elite junior golfer when 265 opened in 2013, but it was great to have him out here every day working on his game, setting an example for others and helping younger players along the way. He made his announcement to attend LSU at 265 and he has inspired so many young golfers in our area. We know his win at the Valspar will be the first of many. Congratulations!

The 265 golfers dominated at the high school regionals this week. Byrd took first place in their region by 17 strokes while the medalist was Benton sophomore Noah McWilliams (shot a 71). Byrd junior Sydney Moss shot a 76 and won the girls region by 9 strokes. Loyola ran away in their region as well. Junior Holden Webb was medalist after an impressive 69. Good luck to all of our golfers who will be headed to the state championship next week!

David Toms Academy is needing part-time employees to work in our Outside Services department. Responsibilities include picking golf balls from the driving range, cleaning golf carts, monitor activity on the course and more.
