The BodyMasters GMAX here at Iron Warrior Training Center in Shreveport, La.

Quick guide on how to get the most out of this phenomenal machine.

1. Make sure to use the seatbelt!
2. Adjust the range for the pad, bring your knees close together.
3. Drive knees outward! This really engages the glutes…DO NOT push downwards with feet!
4. First 5 reps…neural connection. Control the weight down to the stopper, hold for 2 seconds (isometric/static phase), then a slow 2 seconds back to start (eccentric phase).
5. After these initial 5 reps, immediately go into your working set of 10,12,15, or 20 reps. Remember nice and controlled, do not cheat yourself! It’s not about how much weight, it’s about how you engage the glutes throughout the movement.
