Myth vs Reality

Myth: When a race gets rained out, we’re ready to go for the next one!

Reality: Not even close! Rainout or not, the work doesn’t stop. 💦 There’s still maintenance, adjustments, gear changes, stagger changes, and plenty to do to get these cars ready for the next race, especially when we’re changing tracks! 🛠️

The cars may not have hit the track this weekend, but the work in the shop never stops! Cameo appearance by Penny, who has been helping in the shop all day 🐾💕

Sadly, Mother Nature wins at Mohave Valley. Our next race is scheduled 10/17 in Ventura!

🏁🚨 RACING CANCELED — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 🚨🏁

MOHAVE VALLEY RACEWAY

Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with us this weekend.

After carefully watching the weather forecasts, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday night’s racing program, featuring the Avanti Windows & Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars.

We know many of our racers and fans travel a long way to support us, and we don’t want anyone spending their hard-earned money traveling only to have the races canceled.

With rain, high winds, and possible thunderstorms in the forecast, we feel making this decision early is the right thing to do.

We truly appreciate all our racers, fans, sponsors, and staff who continue to support Mohave Valley Raceway.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the track soon!

This Saturday, we’re heading to one of our favorite tracks to run, Mohave Valley Raceway, and both DeWitt Racing cars are coming in HOT!

Grant is on an absolute TEAR, coming in with 3 wins in a row! 🏆🏆🏆 Gary has been right there every week too, consistently finding his way onto the podium and showing he has the speed to battle up front!🔥

This weekend gets even better… we’ll be sharing the track with the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars, so fans are in for one heck of a night of racing!

We can’t wait to see what the boys have in store this week. One thing’s for sure… it’s going to be exciting!

The 29a had a slight misfire while idling around the track. Got her in the shop for maintenance and found a dirty injector. Got them all cleaned and ready for next weekend.
You can have one of the fastest cars on the track, but if you don’t maintain it, eventually something is going to fail. Reliability puts you in position to win. See everyone next weekend at Mohave Valley Raceway

What a night at Adobe Mountain Speedway! Grant Schaadt has captured the 3-peat, winning THREE MAIN EVENTS IN A ROW! 🏆🏆🏆

We are extremely proud of both Grant and Gary tonight. The patience, determination, and hard driving from both drivers made for another exciting night of racing.

The track was a 180 degree difference from last week, which made the heat races especially interesting.

Gary started 2nd in Heat 2 and jumped out to the early lead. Unfortunately, as the laps clicked off, the car got tighter and the handling went away. Gary fought hard but lost the lead on the final lap, bringing it home 2nd.

Then came Grant in Heat 3. He had the car completely dialed in and put on a show, working his way from 4th to 1st with some great heads up driving to take the heat win! 🔥

The passing points put Grant starting 2nd and Gary 5th for the main event.

When the green dropped, Gary got caught behind a slower car and slipped back early. But, as he had done all night, he kept digging and fighting his way forward. Gary battled back to another 3rd place finish, putting himself right back on the podium! 🥉

Up front, Grant wasted no time. He battled for the lead on Lap 1, and by the time they came around for Lap 2, he had it! Second place kept the pressure on and fought hard for the lead, but Grant stayed patient, drove smart, and held his position all the way to the checkered flag!

🏆 THREE MAIN EVENT WINS IN A ROW! 🏆

And luckily, Rocking K Ranch was on hand to see another strong finish! 🤘

Another exciting night of racing, another podium for Gary, and another trip to victory lane for Grant. We couldn't be more proud of these guys and this team.

Last race, Gary had the speed while Grant had the starting position—and Grant was able to capitalize on it and bring home the win!

Tonight, the DeWitt Racing Team is taking a little break from turning laps and doing some good old-fashioned team building! 🍻🏎️

We’re swapping our race cars for the grandstands and are at Ventura to watch the World of Outlaws tear it up on the track.

Sometimes the best way to get better as a team is to step away from the shop, enjoy some racing, and spend some time together.
Good friends, good racing, and a night off before we’re back at it on October 3 at Adobe Mountain Speedway! 🤘
