Bound for the Hounds 6 Hour Ultra

Back by popular demand is THE STAIR CHALLENGE! Along the trail is a set of stairs made up of 41 steps! For one hour (2:00-3:00) you are invited to take on the challenge of seeing how many stair repeats you can do! The winner will get a prize! Sure there's a catch. If you take on the challenge, you lose an hour of out and back time and your quads will hate you but, come on! I'm sure there's a few hearty souls who want to have some extra special stupid fun out there!

Thank you for registering for Bound for the Hounds 6 Hour Ultra! Below are some updates for you including some from a previous email!

Numbers are down at the moment and there's plenty of space for more! Get your friends and family to join you!

Raffles: This year is different in that I don't have an influx of raffle items to host a raffle and everyone is tight on cash so in lieu of raffles, I'll figure out some sort of giveaway that you can enter to win if you bring a donation of dog food or supplies for Gordy and Friends! Feel free to give me some ideas of a cool giveaway and I'll see what I can do to make it happen!

Timing is provided by Gil of HourGlass Works! Make sure to say hi to him and thank him for his timing!

Medals and awards are provided by Andrew of Shed Built Customs!

B4H6H is hosted by me ( ) and the Greater Rochester Running Club (GRRC).

Brooke of InMotion PT will be on hand to help runners and walkers keep moving! She's magic and her dog Mae is super cute!

Location/Parking: Same place, same race. We now have two options for parking. You can park in Budd Park on Water Street OR you can park in Bliss Shurfine parking lot on the east side closest to the trail. Bliss is actually a bit closer than the park but both options works. Note that Bliss does not have public restrooms.

Potties: There is a portapotty in the lot in the park, another by dog park parking, and a third right at the start/finish.

Giveaway: This year's giveaway is a beanie hat with the logo!

Proceeds this year will all go to Gordy and Friends! We have accrued a nice little fund for the dog park over the past few years and haven't had to do much maintenance, so I decided to help out Gordy a bit more!

Bound for the Hounds 6 Hour Ultra is 6 weeks away! Get in now at the low fee of $50 before it jumps up on October 20! Last year, we had 75 awesomely fun friends participate and I'd like to see us get to 100! Let's do it! You can walk one out and back of 2.3 miles or you can run for 6 hours or anything in between! It all benefits the maintenance of our beautiful dog park! Raffles support Gordy and Friends! Can't run or walk but want to help? You can volunteer. You can donate using this same link. How am I at only 20 participants? Meander for one mile and get all the same fun as those trying to earn a belt buckle! Fun! Food! Firepit! Reindeer! Camping under the stars! Mysterious shenanigans!
The loop is one mile. Dirt, a few small roots, and flat.
