Grateful for the 2025-2026 season…

The team spent the weekend in Rockford, IL for the Collegiate Club Championships tournament at Don Carter Lanes. The weekend began with 5 games of pool play where an up-and-down performance saw the team go 2-3, getting wins against William Patterson and Arizona State, but falling short against San Jose State, Marian University and UNLV. Before ending the day Saturday, Milwaukee had a chance to punch their tickets into the Winner’s bracket Sunday morning, but fell short in the tiebreaker game of a Best of 5 against NJIT, meaning we would be one elimination away from ending the season when play resumed on Sunday.

An early Sunday match saw us paired with Purdue, where a Best of 3 would decide the rest of our day. Despite some great effort from the team, we were out-bowled and couldn’t secure the two wins we needed to continue fighting in the Contender’s bracket.

Definitely not how we wanted to end the season but it was still a fun weekend with lots of laughs and lots of strikes.

Thank you to all of the parents and family members who tuned into our live streams to cheer us on! Thank you to our sponsors and for their support in getting us ready for each tournament this season! And thank you to our bowlers who made each tournament this season a memorable one!

And a special shoutout goes to Layton Barlow, Nick Keller and Austin Williamson who bowled their final season with the club this past weekend.

The club looks forward to seeing you all again for the 2026-2027 season!

This past weekend was one of the bigger tournaments in bowling season for the club, as both Varsity and JV attended the final GLBC conference tournament in Green Bay.

After a hard fought weekend, the JV team finished the season 8th in their standings, missing out on the JV bracket. Our Varsity team, after going 8-1 for the whole weekend, locked down the 7th place spot in the standings and secured their place in bracket- going against UW-Whitewater.

After getting it to a tiebreaker game three, the Best of 3 series saw Milwaukee Bowling Club come up just short, being eliminated by Whitewater.

It was a rough end to a long weekend that saw lots of energy and high scores from both teams, including Ben Moczynski, Nick Keller and Layton Barlow all finishing in the Top 50 for individual scores in the tournament!

At the end of the conference season, Milwaukee Bowling Club saw eight bowlers finish in the Top 100 for individual performances!:

* Layton Barlow (26th)
* Nick Keller (40th)
* Ben Moczynski (42nd)
* Ryan Mai (55th)
* Jaden Berkhalter (91st)
* Jay Cho (94th)
* Leo Link (97th)
* Kendra Sillars (100th)

*Honorable Mention- Gabby Krohn (101st)

As we approach the end of our season, the club’s Varsity team sets their sights on Indiana, where they will be bowling in the 2026 Hoosier Classic on February 13-15!

Thank you to our sponsors and for providing a great pace to bowl and top of the line equipment service that helped us perform well this season!

The Milwaukee Bowling Club team had two tournaments take place before the start of the Spring semester!

The first took place at Stardust Lanes in Addison, IL on the weekend of January 17th.

We bowled on the 2026 Kegel Men’s pattern which was 46 feet. The scores were higher overall, as we saw our Top 2 bowlers reach series totals of 995 (Layton Barlow) and 958 (Tyler Chowanec). After a slight dip in scores as we moved over to Sunday, the team finished in 56th out of 68 teams with a total pinfall of 7256.

The following weekend, we started the back half of the conference season with GLBC tournament 3 at Don Carter Lanes in Rockford, IL. Another 46 foot pattern that saw higher scores for most teams. After Saturday’s bowling, we had 4 bowlers in the Top 50:
* 27- Layton Barlow (1005)
* 36- Nick Keller (958)
* 46- Ryan Mai (913)
* 48- Tyler Chowanec (902)

3 of our JV Bowlers helped round out spots in the Top 100 as well:
* 79- Kendra Sillars (816)
* 90- Jay Cho (760)
* 99- Leo Link (739)

The next day saw some highs and lows in our team performance but overall, the team produced some solid scores. The Varsity club finished GLBC 3 in 8th, with a total pinfall of 7725 and an average of 188.4. The JV team finished 8th in the JV standings with a total pinfall of 5994 and an average of 146.2.

Our next tournament is the final GLBC tournament for the 25/26 season, where the Varsity looks to punch their ticket into Sunday’s bracket play and our JV team looks to make up some ground.

A special thanks to our team sponsors as we approach the end of great season!

What a crazy weekend for the team at the Titan Invitational!

First, we would like to congratulate Varsity bowler Ben Moczynski for making ATT, finishing in 2nd place with a 1030 series and a 206 average on Saturday. We also had Layton Barlow finish in 14th, Austin Smith finish in 22nd, and Tyler Chowanec finish in 25th.

On Sunday, both our Varsity and JV teams were looking to secure their spots in their respective brackets. Varsity was able to secure the 2 seed in bracket play, which gave them a first-round bye. JV unfortunately fell short, just missing out on bracket play.

Varsity went on to face University of Minnesota-Duluth in a Best of 3 series, successfully beating them 2-0 to move on to the championship. We faced Viterbo in a Best of 5, and after taking a strong lead after Game 1, fell in the series 3-1. Still good enough for second place and a fantastic weekend for our JV and Varsity squads, who will be putting in work over the next couple weeks with Thanksgiving break approaching.
