🎵And the beat goes on and the beat goes on 🎶. 1986 John Kosma and I rode from the Hampshire Street RJB to Bradford Beach to watch the Polar Bears. Later years I added beer and chili to the equation. I continue that today. Rode further today ( it was 15 degrees then and 75 today).

Last Wednesday (September 26) I received an Elmer J. Sorenson Legends Award from Trek Bicycle. The plaque that I received states "Exclusively awarded to Trek dealers who have been in the Trek family for at least 20 years. The Legends have consistently demonstrated an unrelenting commitment to service and have excelled in making a name for themselves in their local markets. Over that time, they have also displayed an unparalleled commitment to Trek, for which we sincerely thank them."
Elmer Sorenson owned Penn Cycle in Minneapolis and was the first Trek dealer. The award was presented by John Burke (Trek President) at the annual gathering of Trek dealers in Madison (Trek World)
