π Hereβs to the work that makes us stronger.
Labor Day began as a celebration of American workers and the labor movement - honoring the people whose work, advocacy and persistence helped shape things many of us now take for granted, like safer workplaces and more reasonable working hours.
And today, while we honor that history, weβre also thinking about a different kind of work.
The work we choose to do for ourselves. ππ
The miles we put in. The strength we build. The rest we allow ourselves to take. The friendships we make time for. The choice to keep showing up for our physical and mental well-being - even when life is already asking a LOT from us.
Sometimes work looks like an early morning run with friends. Sometimes itβs a long walk. Sometimes itβs stretching, resting and recovering. And sometimes itβs doing absolutely NOTHING on a three-day weekend because thatβs exactly what you need. π
So today, weβre celebrating the work AND the rest that keep us going.
How do you spend your Labor Day weekend? πΊπΈ Do you have a yearly race, family cookout, long run, lake weekend, one-last-summer adventure... or a sacred tradition of doing as little as humanly possible? π
