Please join us this Thursday, June 4, 2026 for "The Power of Cross Border Solidarity at Peach Arch Park," the third lecture in our America at 250 lecture series. As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this lecture series invites our community to reflect on the evolving meaning of American democracy, past, present, and future.

Date: Thursday, June 4, 2026
Time: 5:30-7:00pm
Location: 9000 Building, Rm 9208

For generations, Peace Arch Park has served as a powerful symbol of connection, peace, and shared purpose across borders. In this conversation, Dr.
Luther Adams (Free Man of Color) reflects on Paul Robeson's legendary 1950s concerts; where he sang to crowds gathered on both sides of the U.S.-Canada border.

Peace, Love & Handshake
Present-day organizers Ken Winnick, Jeff Smith, Haidee Landry, and Megan Hemming, continue the grassroots gatherings at the park and that tradition of friendship and solidarity. At this panel discussion we explore the political value of Cross Border Solidarity.
