Trail Conditions

Approaching 6” of new snow! Sledding hill open. Xmas Tree loop is open for skiing. Farm store will be open today Sunday 12-3, or pass forms will be available all day at the trailhead sign. ~01/07/24 11:26 am

Due to family matters, we are unable to open our Winter Activities at Trade Winds farm this season. There are maintenance and upkeep work of fields, trails and bridges that we were not able to do. We will miss you winter enthusiasts! Keep on staying healthy and active!

Our Maple Retail store is open, Tue - Sat 12 - 4 pm. Sun & Mon - Closed.

Amazing conditions for March! Today is one the last best days to get out and ski! With some fresh powder and fresh grooming the conditions are ideal. If Sunday is your day, get out early before the warm temps and rain hits. ~03/05/22 09:11 am

Be sure to ski the Palmer Piece/Southbound loop in the counter clockwise direction, (enter the woods from the Ridge Pasture Trail) specially during sugaring season when the downhill by turkey hill gets rough from a lot of snow machine traffic. ~03/03/22 08:37 am

Ski Trail Condition
With all this beautiful snow all trails are open again! We will be grooming Saturday morning. Look for an update on when the parking area has been plowed. ~02/25/22 10:01 am

Rink Ice Condition
Once again the rink is full of natural water, so if it freezes fast enough we will have ice again. A possibility for ice on Sunday if the ice freezes fast enough under the snow that is coming. (snow insulates the ice and slows the freezing process).

Ski Trail Updates

Going to be lots of ice across trails and thin snow coverage, so trails closed. We will assess things on Saturday. ~02/17/22 06:23 pm

Current Ice Conditions

Sledding Hill closed, too icy.

We lost a couple inches of ice during the last warm spell, but there is a small chance we could still have ice this weekend. It depends on how warm, how much rain, and how fast it freezes Thursday night. Look for an update Friday.

Long Meadow, Ridge Pasture, and Xmas Tree have been groomed Friday AM into a granular base and we will keep grooming throughout the weekend. All other trails have a crust on top.

Our plan for the week: Hard crust on trails Tuesday. Best skiing will be on Wednesday afternoon. We will be grooming more Wed PM through Saturday to take advantage of cold temperatures.

We will be working on the ice and are optimistic that we will have ice on Thursday and possibly continuing through the weekend.

Sledding Hill Closed due to crust.

Sunday: Crust is hard to groom through, we will try again later when it is warmer. There is one small loop through Long Meadow and Xmas Tree that we were able to groom lightly.

The basic surface is still intact, but not frozen enough to skate on.
