Mustering Elm Park in Trinity Springs Established in 2002 where the 65th Indiana Regiment mustered in preparation for duty in the Civil War Electricity and water are also now available.

The Mustering Elm Park was established in 2002 to preserve the historic area where the 65th Indiana Regiment was mustered (under a large elm tree) in preparation for duty in the Civil War. There are natural sulfur springs and the remnants of the in-ground swimming pool here also. We work very hard to have a nice Park for the community to use. We have recently built a beautiful deck, new bench seat

s around the shelter house and have some new picnic tables. It can be used for a small rental fee for weddings, reunions, parties, etc. The Park is located along Hwy 450 in Trinity Springs, IN in Martin County. Memberships are available for individual, family, or lifetime.

The Mustering Elm Park held a ribbon cutting to dedicate our new basketball court in memory of Carter Lee Kerns. The weather wasn’t the best, but we got a break in the rain. The Kerns family and the Martin County Community Foundation helped provide the funds for this project. Approximately 25 community members braved the weather. We appreciated their support.

The Mustering Elm Park Group would like to invite the community to attend a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, October 27th at 6:30 pm at the Park. The ceremony is to dedicate our new basketball court in memory of Carter Lee Kerns. The Kerns family and a Martin County Community Foundation grant provided the funds for the project. We are very grateful to them. Refreshments will follow.
