We are officially back in uniform!!

We will be having a fencing tournament at Dickinson University this Sunday!

What: Unsanctioned (for fun), three weapon (epee, foil, sabre), electric (plugged into boxes that light up) tournament
Who: Dickinson College, Gettysburg College, and Shippensburg University!
Date/Time: Sunday, November 10, 2019, 10:00am-5:00pm
Location: Dickinson University (28 N College St, Carlisle, PA 17013)
We will carpool for transportation, and drivers will be compensated for gas.
Practice for the Ship Fencing Club will be CANCELED this Sunday

A week ago, the Fencing Club showed the campus what we're about with bouting in the Ceddia Union Building amphitheater! The weather was beautiful, and sport fencing in the sun was a unique experience for us. We had some good bouts, and drew the attention of many people who wouldn't see us in our usual practice space (ShipRec, Court D). Thank you to anyone who fenced, reffed, supported, or watched. We hope to do it again!

The Shippensburg University Fencing Club is hosting a tournament! It will be an unsanctioned, collegiate, three weapon tournament- meaning an unofficial foil/epee/sabre tournament for college fencing clubs.

The tournament is Sunday, March 24, 2019, in the Henderson Gym at Shippensburg University.

Set up is at 8:00 am.
Registration for fencers is at 9:00 am.
Fencing will start at 9:30 am and will proceed by weapon: first epee, then foil, finishing with sabre.

All fencers from the invited colleges (West Chester, Keystone, Gettysburg, Dickinson, Millersville, Kutztown, and Lehigh) are welcome to fence any or all weapons. The cost is $5 per fencer.

Electric reels and volunteer coaches would be appreciated from other clubs. Help with set up and bout committee would be appreciated from Shippensburg fencers.

Spectating is free and highly encouraged! We hope you can make it out!
