Congrats to all of our athletes who competed at Nationals last weekend! Competitors included:
- Ana Bondy in the mile, capping off her high school career with a new PR AND re-setting her own school record
- Elisabeth Bordner, finishing top 25 in the 2k steeplechase
- the girls DMR team (Ana and Elisabeth, along with Allison Julias and Ikram Issakh)
- Kolbin Heberlig in the mile
- the boys 4x800 team (Vitor Santos, Luke Kaden, Abulkhassim Abdelrahim, & Kolbin Heberlig)
- Levi Barrick, who competed in the Freshman Championship division for javelin
- Drew Hopper qualified in jav, but was unfortunately unable to participate due to injury

Is it any surprise Ana Bondy was named PennLive Girls Track Athlete of the Year? Nope, not at all! 😁
Honorable mentions go to Elisabeth Bordner and Sunny Davis. Congrats!!!

The Penn State University commit capped off her varsity career in style and established herself as one of the best distance runners from the Mid-Penn Conference abd District 3.

Congrats to Ana Bondy, named PennLive’s XC/Track Female Athelte of the Year! - “Ana added a fantastic finishing kick to her high school career, earning a District 3 title and state bronze in cross country last fall, then following it up with a standout spring on the track. She recently medaled in three events at the District 3 championships and closed her Carlisle career with a fourth-place finish in the 1,600 at the PIAA Championships last weekend. Ana will continue her running career at Penn State University.”

From athletes of the year Hunter Strohm and Molly Workman to teams of the year Central Dauphin boys basketball and Palmyra field hockey and everyone in between, these are the sports honorees from the PennLive High School Sports & Scholars Awards

Thursday evening nearly 100 of our track and field athletes celebrated the 2026 season at our annual banquet, along with their families, coaches, and special guests.

Thank you to for the beautiful venue and for the delicious dinner!

Athletes received participation certificates or Varsity letters, Rising Star Awards were given, and we celebrated the boys’ District III Championship win! 🏆

Carlisle throwers, check this out!

Drew broke not one, but TWO school records this season. The second, in discus, was at the PIAA State Championships! Talk about ending on a high note!

Carlisle's Drew Hopper broke a school record with the final discus throw of his high school career. It was one of eight medal-winning performances from Sentinel-area boys in Saturday's events.

Battling through the adversity of illness, Bondy closed stoutly from the back of the pack and earned a fourth-place PIAA medal in a personal record time of 4:50.28.
