El Dorado Trail

Hey, FATRACers! Get ready for trail work on the El Dorado Trail on April 21st. We need about 10 volunteers and a trail lead.
Look forward to installing culverts in creeks, which involves pick-and-shovel work and clearing weeds off the trail alignment leading up to the creek on each side.

You will also need to fill out our volunteer waiver even if you feel you have done so before. Thank you, and we look forward to working side by side!
**We need a wheelbarrow and shovels. Please let us know if you have these available to bring.
We are meeting on Payen Road, about 1 mile south of White Rock Road, at 9 am.

Great to have the Sacramento Bike Patrol check out our El Dorado Trail this morning!

Bike Patrol is an extension of US Ski Patrol. Bike Patrol members are trained in first aid and CPR and are a value to those who use our El Dorado Trail. The Bike Patrol will also assist with basic mechanical issues like flats or get you pointed in the right direction. Hopefully we can enlist a regular group for the EDT!

How awesome it is to see the El Dorado Trail begin to receive recognition for its future with earthen trail, paved path and rail excursions!

El Dorado County needs to stay front and center in this discussion and pursue grant monies for this local resource and activity!
