The 19th Annual Shiner REEF Fishing Tournament was held on July 10–11 in Rockport, Texas, at Lamar Volunteer Fire Department.
Each year, this event raises funds for the Religious Education Endowment Fund (REEF), benefiting students of Shiner Catholic School and participants in the CCD program at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
What an incredible weekend it was! This year's tournament was a huge success, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of our community. A big thank you to our 37 fishing teams, our 84 generous sponsors for their support, and the Shiner Knights of Columbus for preparing and serving two fantastic meals.
We're especially grateful to our dedicated volunteers, whose countless hours, hard work, and enthusiasm helped make the tournament run so smoothly. Your generosity and commitment mean the world to us!
We ended the weekend with Mass at the fire station this morning - thank you Fr. Aaron for joining us.
As we celebrate another successful year, we're already looking ahead to an exciting milestone—the 20th Annual Shiner REEF Fishing Tournament! Mark your calendars for July 9–10, 2027. We can't wait to see everyone back in Rockport for another weekend of great fishing, great food, and great fellowship!
