🏁 WSS TAKES ON GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY! 🏁

The Wingless Sprint Series made our 2nd visit of the season to Grays Harbor Raceway rays Harbor Raceway in Elma, WA with a great 14-car turnout! Unfortunately, only 11 cars were able to make it out for qualifying and racing.

After some mid-race track prep, the track really came alive! A fast high line developed, giving our drivers the opportunity to open it up, let ’em eat, and put on a show! πŸ”₯πŸŽοΈπŸ’¨

And maybe the biggest win of the night… they even finished with some rubber left on their tires! πŸ˜‚

Thank you to all of our teams who made the trip and to Grays Harbor Raceway for having the WSS back again!

🏁 Just ONE points race remains in the 2026 WSS season!

🏁Herz Precision Parts Non-Wing Nationals Set for Douglas County Dirt Track🏁

By Ben Deatherage

ROSEBURG, Ore. (Aug. 19. 2026) β€” The Wingless Sprint Series heads to Douglas County Dirt Track Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22, for one of the longest-running events on the Pacific Northwest non-wing Sprint Car calendar, the Herz Precision Parts Non-Wing Nationals.

The event, which dates back to 2009, will feature two complete nights of racing with the 2026 Non-Wing Nationals champion determined through a two-night points format.

Rather than Saturday night's feature winner automatically taking the Non-Wing Nationals crown, competitors will accumulate points during both nights with the driver earning the most points over the weekend being crowned champion.

The format was first utilized in 2019 and returned in 2023.

Friday night's feature will pay $1,000 to win and $200 to start, while Saturday's finale pays $1,000 to win and $300 to start. A maximum of 20 cars will start each night's main event.

In addition to the nightly purses, a $9,500 championship point fund will be distributed among the top 10 in the final weekend standings.

The Herz Precision Parts Non-Wing Nationals champion will receive $2,500, with $1,600 going to second and $1,200 to third. Fourth through 10th will receive $1,000, $800, $600, $500, $500, $400, and $400, respectively.

Kyle Miller owns the most impressive record in Non-Wing Nationals history. Miller captured the inaugural event in 2009 and followed with victories in 2010 and 2011. He added championships in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2018 to give him seven titles.

Trent Carter broke Miller's run by winning the 2019 edition. Kinzer Cox captured the championship in 2022, followed by Chad Lindsey in 2023, Kyle Alberding in 2024, and Blaine Cory in 2025.

Nine races have produced six different winners so far this season with the Wingless Sprint Series.

Justen McConville leads the series with three victories, earning wins at Grays Harbor Raceway, Sunset Speedway Park, and most recently Madras Speedway on Aug. 15.

Brody Sim is the only other repeat winner, taking victories at River City Speedway and Douglas County Dirt Track.

Lance Hallmark won the May 23 season opener at River City Speedway, while Blaine Cory and Nate Schank split the June 26-27 weekend at Southern Oregon Speedway. Alex Peck added his name to the season's winner list July 18 at Cottage Grove Speedway.

The series now returns to Douglas County Dirt Track, where Sim won the previous visit July 11 after starting fifth.

Several of the Wingless Sprint Series' top 10 point runners are expected to be on hand for the Non-Wing Nationals, including point leader Justen McConville, second-place Lance Hallmark, third-place Brody Sim, fourth-place Ricky Ashley, fifth-place Jojo Batalgia, sixth-place Jake Gilman, seventh-place Dakota Woods, eighth-place Kyle Alberding, ninth-place Seth Waldal, and 10th-place Victoria Woolf.
