We had a couple of fast hot rods this weekend at Bear Ridge Speedway. We were able to finish P1 in both 500 and 600 heat races. Won the 500 feature and P2 for the 600’s.

Break time is over, back to work to get these two machines ready for battle at Legion Speedway this Friday night!

Well we cooked one durring practice at Legion Speedway. We are on a roll bruning up engines there. Two in a row. We figured out WHAT happened. Now we just need to figure out WHY.

Thank you to everyone who reached out and offered to help. Racing is a team sport and I couldnt do it without each one of you. Big thank you to Robbs Racing Engines for taking a look at this thing and getting me pointed in the right direction.

Successful trip to PA! This Robb’s Racing Engine’s power plant put down some power! Made a pit stop at Hyper racing, RTS chassis, and now at Linda’s Speedway to watch some racing before the trip home.

Unfortunately not the way we wanted to end our points season. We had a fast car rolling into the feature race at Legion Speedway. We started P10 of 21 cars. We made our way up to P6 before the chain broke resulting in a DNF for us.
We were able to get the car back together with the help of some other racers (Thank you!) and rolled out for the wingless race, but that’s when we realized we had bigger issues. Unfortunately when the chain locked the motor up, it took out some drivetrain gears.
We’re on the hunt for a new motor to finish the last two races of the season, but with a limited budget and timeframe, were not making any promises.

On a brighter note, official results for the year has us 11th in points, and Rookie of the Year! After a 10 year break from racing and first year on dirt, we couldn’t ask for anything more!

Making progress on and off the track!

9 Sep- Our last points race at Bear Ridge Speedway for the season brought some decent results! This race was the follow up to our rain shortened Len West Memorial weekend. We rolled off P13 for the feature and battled a slick track. We found a grove midway through the race that allowed us to make some progress and bring home P8. We brought the car home with a decent finish and a car in one piece!

16 Sep- Our second to last points race at Legion Speedway had some good results as well. We made a lot of changes over the week to the car and they showed. We started P18 and made consistent forward progress and found speed through the race. We ended up taking home a hard fought P7.

This weekend at Legion Speedway will bring a close to the regular 2023 point season, but will not be our last race of the year! Without counting the 16 Sep race, we are 7th in regular season points and leading rookie of the year points. Were looking forward to another good weekend of racing in a few days!

Today we kick off the weekend at Legion Speedway and tomorrow we will be at Bear Ridge Speedway.

NHMS Dirt Duels 2023

We unloaded 3rd fastest in our practice session and made a couple adjustments to the car for a quick turn around into the heat race. We ended up getting tangled with another car going down the front straightaway during the heat, which knocked our toe 2” out. However, we were able to bring the car to 6th, giving us a 12th place starting position for the feature. We got the car squared away the best we could before the feature.

When we started the feature, the drivers had no radio communication from the tower. We had problems all day with this, but it was never resolved. A spin on lap 1 sent water across the track in turn 4. The track turned their head to this and when we restarted the race it resulted in a pile up and took out lots of good cars. We were involved, but got lucky with only a bent rear track bar. The track crew worked the water into the track during the red flag and was able to get most of the water out of the grove.

We restarted and had a decent car considering the damage. We were running good when another caution in turn 4 sent more water into the track. We restarted with water on the track again, and got collected into the wall ending our night.

With the timing system at the track being intermittent, we believe we finished 13th. Only about half of the cars that started ended up finishing.

Not the night we wanted, but we have to thank Robbs Racing Engines and Cheshire County Fish & Game for making this possible.

Another long week in the shop, and more parts getting hung on the car. We will be back at Legion Speedway Friday night.

We had a long stressful week leading up to Bear Ridge Speedway this weekend. After our last race at Legion we found out we smoked 3 of the shocks on the car. We were lucky enough to pick up a brand new set from Hyper Racing and had them next day shipped to us, just in time to get them on the car.
Race day at Bear Ridge we fought handling issues through hot laps and our heat race. The feature was delayed due to rain, but the track workers managed to give us a great surface after the rain stopped! We started 20th and made our way up to 8th place before we tagged an infield tire and had too much damage to continue.
With a short turn around time for our race at NHMS, we have some late nights ahead. Parts are on the way and we will see everyone there!

Our team brought home a 6th place finish this weekend at Legion Speedway. We made adjustments throughout the day and really brought the car around come feature time. We rolled off second to last, and made steady progress towards the front until the checkard flag.

Sadly there is TOO much rain on track and infield. We know it is supposed to stop raining early afternoon Butch says it will be hours before track is ready .
