AN AWESOME NIGHT OF TESTING & ACHIEVEMENT!

We had an AWESOME class tonight at Monroe’s Pai Lum Fire Dragon Academy!

Over the past several weeks, our students have been working hard on their respective curriculums. What makes tonight especially exciting is that many of them didn't even realize they had been preparing for their exams!

Tonight, they were asked to demonstrate the curriculum they have been working on. They stepped up, demonstrated their knowledge and skills, and showed the dedication and hard work they have put into their training.

As a kid, I had the privilege of getting my butt kicked by some really cool people.
Tonight I stood with one of them, Mr. Eddie Bethea, as this surprise was given to me.
There were a few others that were given the same recognition for what they had been involved in.
It was a great honor to sit and talk with Mr. Bethea and so many others, including Mr. Ron White, who got his first Don at age 5 from a raccoon (haha). Inside joke.

We had a great time at the PKC International Karate Championship this weekend in Indianapolis.
SiGung Shannon Monroe took home Gold in Chambara, Silver in fighting, Silver in forms and Silver in Weapons Forms.
SiGung Coy Monroe took Gold in fighting, Silver in Weapons, Silver in Chanbara and Bronze in Forms..
